Narration Essay
Bongcaras, Alyssa Mae D. ENG 2 BSTM 2-A Sir Greg Eugenio A Narration Essay about our Preliminary Exam Last week, our Preliminary exams in different subjects took place. Our subjects are Domestic Tourism, Tourism Planning and Development, Finance 1, Statistics 1, Christian Living 3, P.E. 3, English 2, Tourism Marketing, ESL 3, and Filipino 2. We are supposed to study well to pass each exam that’s why, we did our part to do our best. As a student, my mom expects much from me. She expects that I will get high scores on each of our exams. I don’t want to let her down that’s why, I am always giving my best. Besides, I don’t want to waste the expensive tuition fee that she is paying in our school for me to study. That’s why every day of each exam, I am making sure that I reviewed each lesson very well. I don’t want that during the exam, I’ll get a “mental block.” I make sure that I have answered each question well and very carerully. I am also expecting myself that I can do it. Even if every question or problem is difficult to answer, I am not easily giving up. It is because I believe in the clear saying, “Good works and efforts are always rewarded with a fruitful success.” Therefore, I finally conclude that each student must give his/her best in every endeavors of life. Whatever hardships or challenges that blocks your way, you must always find a better way. A good student always keeps in mind the importance of education, for it is something that other people cannot take away from

Has the question, “ What do other people think of me?” ever crossed your mind before? It has crossed my mind before, which has led me to many questions. In this day and age people know how to handle a computer, I’d like to say I know more than your average bear. Many things are possible with a computer, like watching videos or listening to live streams. Every week or so a group of my friends speak about random topics, this particular week the gang decided to speak about religion. A topic I consider slightly taboo to discuss in large groups, a day I will never forget.…

One would think that purchasing your first home would be a very fascinating experience; after all it is one of the most major purchases of your entire life. In America, home ownership ties in with the American Dream and the spirit of working hard to one day earn through hard work a home with a white picket fence. My husband and I felt that it was time for us to reward ourselves for all the hard work we have been putting in over the years by purchasing our first home, which was well overdue. I quickly learned the process of purchasing your first home can be very frustrating and stressful. However, if you survive the home buying process the reward is priceless once you move into your “American Dream.”…

In an effort to balance my studies with Penn foster I had to find a happy medium within my days and break the days into hours. There are 24 hours in a day and I break it down evenly into 4 parts, six hours sleep, six hours studies, six hours work and six hours family or at least this is what I try to go by. Of course having kids can throw my schedule a little off track but for the most part I stick to this schedule. In order to maintain this balance I had to take less hours at work in order to successfully maintain this schedule.…

There can be major physical changes and effects to a female’s body after having a child. In 2011 when I had my son the hospital gave me an epidural for the pain; they did the shot too high up on my back. As far as anyone knew I was fine. I showed no signs of problems until after I got out of the hospital, when I started having back spasms due to the fact that the epidural was done incorrectly. The female body goes through many natural changes; it prepares itself to be capable of having a child naturally and being capable of breastfeeding babies. It can also cause other effects that are not necessarily normal changes to the female body, for me the two main changes that I had were being anemic and having a hyperthyroid. The doctors told me that I was anemic because I had lost too much blood during labor and that the hyperthyroid was a result of my body changing after having my son but that it was nothing to worry about.…

In this paper I will articulate my own philosophy to my success for years to come. I know that throughout my educational journey I will have many obstacles to face but eventually overcome in order to get closer to my goals. Also I acknowledge that learning new information is not going to be an easy task; but; one way that will help me with my learning abilities is relating the new information with previous information in every possible way as often as possible. Moreover, I will commit to show in my future tests and quizzes that I’m really capable in doing well. In the same vein, making wise choices such as staying at home studying and doing homework rather than going out and have fun will lead me to my success. If I want to achieve my goals I need to learn how to say no, for now education is my priority. Ever since I was a little boy, my mom used to tell me that I can be whoever I wish to be, as long as I go to school and really work hard. I am smart and I should not waste my passion for learning in something that will not take me anywhere. Furthermore, now that I am enrolled in college and have the opportunity that many does not, I feel compromise to show all the great things I can accomplish. Not to mention that I am motivated by my family, I have confidence on myself, I am focused, I am a hard working student; I know that I will do whatever it takes to accomplish my goal. In addition, I can now say that I became more organized with college, homework, and anything related with education. I have always been an organized student and I will continue to do so. Defiantly, playing video games and watch TV are activities that I do once I am done with important duties; it is a rule that I commit myself all the time so that I can follow the right direction towards my education. I know that college is nothing like High School where students usually get away with their responsibilities by doing sloppy work, skipping class and not doing the…

This chapter is trying to show the readers that many students suffer because of school and expectations from people. High school prepares student for college and many students are stressed out from the pressure. The students tried very hard to keep the grades up to get into prestigious universities. This connects to me because I also tried hard to keep my GPA high. Throughout my four years of high school, it was difficult for me to balance my personal life and school life. The pressure was high for me because my family from Burma expects me to attend prestigious universities and become a doctor or engineer. I was not mentally nor physically strong to withstand these stress. Yet, I managed to raise my grades at the last minute and got accepted…

Learning something new can be a very scary experience. Of course I think I can discover and have discovered something original from every incident in my life, but sometimes I wish there had been easier ways to gain those insights. Sometime in June of the year 2001, when I arrived to the United States from Brazil, my parents and I were welcomed at the airport by this very nice lady whose name was Romy. My dad would be taking Romy's job in a few weeks, and I assume it was her duty to show us around the new town and to get us acquainted with living in Maryland. She took us shopping for basic necessities and soon after that, since we would soon need to move around on our own, we went hunting for a car. We went to several car dealerships and finally ended up in Chambersburg. We were about to move on to another place when it started to drizzle. We got inside the vehicle, made a left at the exit of the automobile dealership, and as soon as we were back on the road, a couple of feet ahead the light turned red. Initially I though Romy would have plenty of time to stop. However, she was not able to and ended up hitting one of the cars that had already come to a halt at the signal. The accident, despite being awful, was meaningful to me because I learned some driving techniques, I learned about the importance of wearing a seat belt, and I learned that I am not supposed to step out of my car whenever an accident happens.…

I recall the nerves, sweat, and some tears of my first day of public school in an unfamiliar environment. I was vulnerable and invisible to all the chaos occurring in my peripheral vision. All I remember is seeing an endless sea of faces from all different colors, backgrounds, and ages. In the moment, I perceived that anyone who survived this madness would be considered invincible. This experience was astounding and life-changing because I learned how to interact with countless of different individuals, manage my time much more wisely, and how to overcome peer pressure.…
