MY FIRST ENCOUNTER AT RBCI CABUAO, SINAIT BRANCH
This is the first day of our On the Job Training as a requirement of our Financial Management Program. Everybody has been excited because this is what we are waiting for, to apply our knowledge in real life situation for us to become a successful and employed individual someday. On-the-job training (OJT) is one of the best training methods because it is planned, organized, and conducted at the employee’s worksite. OJT will generally be the primary method used for broadening employee skills and increasing productivity. It is particularly appropriate for developing proficiency skills unique to an employee’s job- especially jobs that are relatively easy to learn and require locally-owned equipment and facilities. This is one method by which students is given a chance to apply the theories and computations that they have learned from the school. It also helps the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting. Colleges and universities require their students to undergo such trainings within a specific number of hours as a part of the curriculum. We have given 240 hours to undergo and pursue this training that will help us to acquire knowledge and skills that will serve as a tool to face the challenges of life in the future. It will set our mind of what does a real world of accounting is all about. Others think that accounting matters only on numbers or quantitative information; however, it also matters or related in decision making and business operations. It also somewhat related to the development of our skills in communication, leadership and management. Thus, experience is vital to one’s improvement and preparing students to their career is the best way to set them on success. A week before our OJT, our adviser explained to us the rules and regulation for us to always follow the instructions of the superiors, the type of the clothes to wear and the different facilities that can used by the trainees. Today is the first day of our OJT and I was so very nervous but excited. At exactly 8:00 in the morning, I and Banessa Baclig are required to report this day at RBCI Cabugao Branch. We looked to their HR officer Miss Marygine Rosario and then gave our communication letter given by our school. After that they assigned us to one of their branches, the Sinait Branch, located at Sinait, Ilocos Sur. As we entered their main door, we greeted them a nice morning and introduced ourselves. For the first hour, we are assigned to their filling cabinets for us to rearrange them, and then we do posting, encoding, sealing, and typewriting, believe it or not it was my first time to use a typewriter and I was so nervous because if you made a mistake you will not be able to delete it, but thanks God I did it with no single mistake taken. We took our break time at exactly 10:00 AM, and 12:00 for our lunch break, and then we have our break time again at 3:00. At exactly 5:00 PM, we went home. And it was a great start and an enjoyable experienced and in the near future I’ll apply those things that I learned during my OJT time. In this training I can say that I’m transformed into a real better person.

Has the question, “ What do other people think of me?” ever crossed your mind before? It has crossed my mind before, which has led me to many questions. In this day and age people know how to handle a computer, I’d like to say I know more than your average bear. Many things are possible with a computer, like watching videos or listening to live streams. Every week or so a group of my friends speak about random topics, this particular week the gang decided to speak about religion. A topic I consider slightly taboo to discuss in large groups, a day I will never forget.…

One would think that purchasing your first home would be a very fascinating experience; after all it is one of the most major purchases of your entire life. In America, home ownership ties in with the American Dream and the spirit of working hard to one day earn through hard work a home with a white picket fence. My husband and I felt that it was time for us to reward ourselves for all the hard work we have been putting in over the years by purchasing our first home, which was well overdue. I quickly learned the process of purchasing your first home can be very frustrating and stressful. However, if you survive the home buying process the reward is priceless once you move into your “American Dream.”…

Most people rely on the security and care of others to provide for their loved ones when they put them in a nursing home. What they don’t realize is how much neglect goes on to the people they care most about. Residents are at risk of being abused by their caretakers but they are also at risk of being restrained, which may lead to a form of abuse. At Southwestern Nursing Home I have witnessed forms of neglect and abuse. Nursing homes are meant to be a place for security for the elderly to be cared for in their golden years, and it has become an unpleasant experience for senior citizens being subjected to acts of abuse and neglect.…

I am an average 16 year who just can’t wait to grow up and face the real world and not have to worry about any rules or restrictions. On January 12th, 1996, my parents named me Asmaa, so I have to stick with that name for the rest of my life. Personally, I like the name because it’s the name of a very great person; more of a hero in Islam. Names in my family go with a pattern; but this only goes for girls. The pattern is the double ‘A’ at the end of the name. Shaymaa is the leader of the tribe yet she doesn’t control any of us. Next in line are me and my twin sister Alyaa. We are the decision makers in the household, everyone takes our opinion before doing anything or taking any steps .I would like to mention that I am the older twin; but that doesn’t really help me in anyway because she is treated as the ‘wiser one’. I am known as the smiley easy going twin and Alyaa is known as the serious harsher twin. There are 5 years between Omar and me, which makes me the mature older sister that he could come to for advice. Esraa is the little seven year old diva of the house. She likes to imitate models and celebrities and act like she rules the planet. The sixth child is five year old Tarek who just entered grade one this September. He believes that the world can’t survive without superheroes. Last but certainly not least is my life and my smile, the little flower of the house; Alaa. She is a year and 3 months old. In my mind; she completes the package very well. We kids call ourselves The Power of Seven. We’re 5 girls against 2 guys. Fortunately for us girls, we gang up against the guys and we always get what we want. The girls rule the house because they know how to fight for what they want, they know how to put up a good argument, and plus they’re the majority. Speaking of majority, I am two years away from being an official adult and getting the right to vote; a year and 4 months and day to be exact. I really want…

There can be major physical changes and effects to a female’s body after having a child. In 2011 when I had my son the hospital gave me an epidural for the pain; they did the shot too high up on my back. As far as anyone knew I was fine. I showed no signs of problems until after I got out of the hospital, when I started having back spasms due to the fact that the epidural was done incorrectly. The female body goes through many natural changes; it prepares itself to be capable of having a child naturally and being capable of breastfeeding babies. It can also cause other effects that are not necessarily normal changes to the female body, for me the two main changes that I had were being anemic and having a hyperthyroid. The doctors told me that I was anemic because I had lost too much blood during labor and that the hyperthyroid was a result of my body changing after having my son but that it was nothing to worry about.…
