Narrative Essay About My 13th Birthday
Today is my 13th birthday, I was on the way to get the cake when I was pulled into the alleyway by a man with a mask. As if my brother knew I was in trouble he flew into the alleyway with a killer look in his eyes.
“I will give you two seconds to let go of my sister.” he growled dangerously to the man.
I tried to run but the hard grip on my arm told me otherwise. “NOW.” He yelled to make his point.
The gun slung me to the ground as he drew his weapon and before my brother had time to draw his own weapon the gun was fired. It was like slow motion as the bullet pierced my brother skin.
“NO.” yelled a voice that I soon realized was my own.
I looked at the man with as much hatred that I could muster. I then saw something I had not seen before.

“You should still be sleeping.”He tried again
He gave up trying to talk to me about an hour in the drive. The car finally came to a stop and I rushed out and to the road. He looked shocked but soon recovered as he ran after me. He soon caught me. He slugs me over his shoulder and carried me in the side. He sat me on the couch and soon 6 people wandered into the room.
“Where did you find her?” one of the boys said.
The man that caught me said, ”She was asleep in the woods.”
“ Where is she from?” another boy said.
“I don’t know she won't talk to anyone,” he stated
At the time a man that looked a little familiar walked into the room.
“Ella.” He cried out.
“Daniel.” I croaked out cause I haven't used my voice in a long time.
“I am so so sorry.” He said to me.
“How?” was the only thing I manage to get out.
“ If I did not then people would have killed you,” he explained
“Instead you left me there to die on the inside.”I cried out
“What do you mean?” he questioned
“When you “died” they blamed me. They beat me. Right before I ran away they sold me to a complete stranger.” I said as I blinked back my

Seeing my brother holding in his arms make me wiggle out of his grip. I ran to the other side of the room and wrapped my arms around myself and rocked. Everyone tried to come closer but every time they did I tried to go closer to the wall. I imagined that I looked like a coward. NO, I am tired of being this weak, scared, little girl. I stood up and with my head held high.
“ I am not weak,I am not the girl I once was,” I stated calmly.
“You left me without a family. You caused me great pain. I will not be the girl you knew. For as of right now I am a different person. I am a girl that fends for herself.” My voice carried out through the house. I calmly walked out of the house and walked into the woods only to turn around.
“If you were the brother I knew then why did you not come back for me when I needed you the most,” I asked him
“ Don't try to find until you are ready to be the brother I knew last.” I said.
And with that, I walked into the woods and never looked back.

As I sat there, playing, the door suddenly banged open. My mom stood there anxiously with fear in her chocolaty eyes. I knew something tragic had occurred for she never came home early. She grabbed my forearms and pulled me up with a jolt and snatched a plastic bag from the corner and stuffed what little clothes and toys I had in it. My own brown eyes were filled with tears, but I didn’t let them fall. She dragged me along as she moved and on her way out, she shut the door with a thunderous bang. Who would have thought that that was the last day I would ever see that little one room garage house again.…
