The Game of Baseball
For as long as I can remember there has always been one thing in my head that I can't get rid of. As hard as I try to get this object out of my head I always end up falling back to it. This object that defines me is a baseball. Baseball has been part of my life for 15 years now and has helped me become the person that I am today. By starting so young it has made me appreciate this sport much more than I ever thought I would. I have gotten the chance to play past high school and here at Iowa Central which makes me thankful for the opportunity this game has brought me. This object of a baseball has effected my personality, has helped me understand my values, and made me a better overall person.

If we have a big game the next day I am responsible enough to go to bed on time and take care of my body so I'm ready to play. You also have to be responsible and on time to practice and games to give you the best chance to succeed that day, and I have gotten better at this over the years. Another value that this sport has brought to me is determination. It has taught me that if you want something then you need to work hard and go get it. An example of this was two years ago my high school baseball team was knocked out one game before making it to state. The next year we were determined that we were going to make it and we worked hard and were able to punch our ticket to Des Moines and compete at state. This goes to show how hard work and determination can get you a lot of things in life.
Whenever I see a baseball it brings back all of the memories that I've made over the years and makes me think into the future about what it still has to bring. Over the years of playing the great game of baseball it has made me a better person and has effected my personality and values tremendously. This game has changed my life by displaying my traits and values and those have made me who I am today. It is amazing to think about how something as simple as a baseball
