Narrative Essay On Disney World
As we were coming off the Tower of Terror, all you could see were the old fashioned furniture, the dusty cob webs, flickering lights, rusted orange-red gates, and the copper colored outside of the building that held a million screams. Everything was beyond great. It was a beautiful day and I was in Disney World with my best friend, Nicole. We weren’t listening when my dad told Nicole and me to stay where we were. We were too busy laughing and talking about who screamed the loudest and the terrified looks on all our faces. A few minutes later, we looked up to see we were the only ones standing there… alone. I figured my dad had just gone to the drink stand, so we walked over there and searched for his bright orange shirt and Aces back pack but he was no where to be found. Then it hit me… I was lost in Disney World. My first instinct was to panic. No I thought, It’s all right. Disney World is a big place but it’s not that big, I can find him. Thats what phones are for, I thought. But of course they are in my dad’s backpack which is no where to be found along with my dad. “Where could he have gone?” Nicole asked. “Does it look like I know?” I answered harshly. She looked a bit taken back at my rude reply, so I quickly apologized. “ …show more content…
What is this 20 questions, I thought. As he continued to yell I just stood there looking around and laughing. Man, I was really freaked out, I thought and we were only alone for about 20 minutes. I’m such a baby, I laughed, but then I thought...this happened just because I wasn't listening. If I would have been listening then, running through hollywood studios, finding my sisters fake twin, running smack into a stranger that turned out to be my sister, and being the scaredest I've ever been in my life, wouldn't have happened. Plus I was on my phone! Why was I even on my phone, I'm in Disney

During the 1850's, the vast differences between the North and the South brought about the impending notion of war between the two. The South knew that the North had them beat on every level. The North had manufacturing capabilities with factories that could produce supplies necessary for outfitting an army. Also, the North's population of 22 million was nearly three times the population of the South. The South only had nine million people, four million of whom were black slaves. This larger population provided a steady source of military and civilian manpower, and was important in a war of attrition. Lastly, the North grew most of the country's food, and a fighting army can get very hungry. The South had the plantations, but mostly cash crops were grown there.…

A black van pulls up next to you and the driver rolls down the window and he asks where your parents are. You are scared. You don’t know this man. His car is old and beat-up. Scout growls. You start to walk away. When he yells “come back” you run. Scout is barking. The man starts to follow in his car. He keeps telling you to get in. You won’t. You can’t. You keep running faster and faster. You pull out your flip phone that Mom and Dad told you to only use for emergencies. This is an emergency. An operator answers. “A man is following me!” you yell. The car stops, makes a u-turn, and screeches out of the street. You keep running. Don’t look back. You make it to the front door. You are tired. So is Scout. You’re safe.…

“We’re here,” my dad said as we parked the car. I could already hear the screaming voices of the kids on roller coasters. It was like a thousand tiny hammers hitting the sides of head. They were so loud, I couldn’t hear a single word my dad said to me, and could tell from the look on my brother’s face, he couldn’t hear him too. There was a huge of people waiting at the gate. I thought I was going to be here forever and never get in. I turns out we we’re in line for 30 minutes! When we got to the front, my dad gave a man are tickets.…

As I am not a super religious person anymore it is hard for me to find any religious “portals” that I can think of. Perhaps it could be as simple as when I walk into my garden. When I go there it is very peaceful to me. Being in my garden makes me feel at peace and almost one with nature, as I am tending to my garden.…

On 12/33/2017 my family, cousins and I went to Hollywood because my older cousins really wanted to see the stars that had names of famous people. On our way to Hollywood, it took us at least one hour and a half to get there because of traffic and the house we rented was an hour away. I asked my mother when we would arrive, because half an hour took forever for me, but slept the whole time because I did not sleep until 3:00 am the night before. ¨WAKE UP YARA¨ one of my little cousins said with excitement. I quickly jumped off the chair not knowing who that was, neither where we were ¨where are…

With no doubt, time goes by faster than realized. Throughout a lifetime several things may happen to make us want to make time stand still. In today's time majority of people take their life and time on Earth for granted. Although it is not possible to make an event last forever, if I had the choice to go back to a certain time/event I would go back to the summer of 2012. In June of 2012 I started my summer off in Philadelphia. From Philadelphia I then traveled to Disney World in Florida. But why was this time so important to me? Firstly, this summer was not all about fun. Of course, I had a great time, but it was about the family I spent it with. Secondly, Disney World is such a happy place to be. Above all, this was time I knew I would never get back: although, with the choice to go back I would.…

It was a sunny day and my mom finally let my older sister and I go to Six Flags alone. Little did I know, we weren’t going to make it to Six Flags at all? When I got on the CTT Bus I couldn’t wait- it would be my first time on the goliath. “Last stop everyone off” yelled the bus driver. When I got off I mentioned to my sister “This does not look like Six Flags” “I think we missed our stop and we are lost “she answered. I started to look for any thing I noticed. But all I saw was two large buildings and lots of people.…

When we think Disneyland, we think the happiest place on earth. For those who think this is an exaggeration, let me shed some light on why this place is magical for me. Disneyland to me means family traditions with a heart full of happiness and love. When you first enter Disneyland, you are overcome with a vast amount of emotions. I get a nervous feeling deep inside my gut. The excitement overwhelms me, knowing that in just a few small steps, I will see the castle at the end of Main Street. The smell of churros are in the air. The crowds are filled with children and parents. You can hear children’s laughter and excitement. And if you look closely, you can see Mickey and friends in the corner signing autographs and taking pictures. I close my…

My dad is going away. That is all I could think about the entire length of the car ride to Brighton. Mom says we will all be okay, that Daddy will be home soon, but there is something about the way she keeps on repeating it that makes me wonder if there is a secret that she is still not telling me. Dad and Mom both keep locking eyes and Dad periodically glances up into the rearview mirror to check if we are all still asleep. I keep my eyes squeezed shut so he doesn’t know I am listening but it is dark so I don’t think he would’ve noticed if they weren’t. There are five of us kids. Grant, me, Clara, Wesley, and little baby Gerald. I think they are all asleep.…
