I wish to express my gratitude to Mr. Eduardo H. Almera, the City Administrator of Gapan City Hall for giving us opportunity to handle different task in our designated department with trust. Also I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Ronic Delos Santos, Department Head of Information Technology in Gapan City Hall for giving me his trust to give my best in terms of doing my job. Introduction

Brief History According to old records, Gapan was formerly called Ibon. But later on, the Spaniards called it “Gapang”. The Spanish soldiers saw natives crawling on the bushes and asked them what the name of the locality was. The natives thought the Spaniards were asking what they were doing and answered “gumagapang gapang kami”. The Spaniards thereafter named the area as “Pueblo Gapang”.
