ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
With deepest gratitude and appreciation, I humbly give thanks to the people who, with all they can, helped me in making my On-the-Job Training a possible one.
To my parents, for their unending love and support, for providing all my needs financially and morally, for their patience and understanding during my tiring days that I can’t help them in the chores, for their never fading advices and for being there for me no matter what.
To my friends, specially the 4th year BSBA of S.Y. 2014-2015 whom I consider as my brothers and sisters who serve as my inspiration, who keep on encouraging me to always make the best out of everything and for being proud and ever supportive to me.
To the institution where I am studying, Jesus Reigns Christian College, where I am continuously growing as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration student for molding me not only academically but also spiritually and to Rev. Ligaya Javier and family for giving us, students, the opportunity to have quality education at a very low cost.
To all my professors who shared and continuously sharing their knowledge with students like me and keep molding me into a better person. I am extending my warmest thanks especially to Dr. Lionel Mihiripenna who, with all he can, share with us everything that he knows and keep on motivating us to study harder for us to have a better future. The things that he imparted us cannot be bought by any money in the world.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
To Riclet Engineering, for their warm welcome to me. To Ma’am Relieza Mirador Pria, Ma’am Hazel Mirador, Sir Bonnie Mirador, and to the rest of the team, I am very grateful for having them as part of my On-the-Job Training. For all their advices and for everything that they taught me during my stay with them and most of all, for the memories we’ve shared – the happy moments, the rush hours, the brainstorming and nerve-wracking days and for everything they did that contributed my growth as a human being. I thank them so much.
Above all, to our Almighty God, for his unconditional love and for all the blessings He is showering upon me each day of my life. With love and gratitude, I thank Him for guiding me during my training and for making this a possible one. For the provision and wisdom He has bestowed upon me, for keeping me and my loved ones always safe, for giving me enough knowledge and ability to perform each task that was assigned to me and for the challenges He had given me that made me stronger than ever. I thank Him for His comfort during the times that I am about to give up. By His grace, I was able to finish this training without any conflict.
Most of all, I thank Him for His word that keeps on reminding me that “I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.” (KJV) – Phil. 4:13

INTRODUCTION
On-the-Job Training is part of a college curriculum that aims to train and orient students about the work and their future career. It is a type of skill development where a worker learns how to do the work through hands-on experience. On-the-Job Training is one method by which students are exposed with different work situation designed to give students an opportunity to experience and a chance to apply the theories and computation that they have learned from the school. It also helps the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting. OJT is very important not only to teach students regarding their chosen career but also to show students the reality about working. The students will be exposed to the actual work related to the course that they are taking. It also allows those with no experience to work and to learn at the same time. WEEK 1 On the first day of my training, I was very excited and somewhat nervous because of the new environment and the people I’ll encounter. I don’t have any idea on what kind of people will I meet and how to adjust myself with their personalities and attitudes. On my first day, I was already given my designated working table. My first task was also given to me that day. I am nervous and a bit scared while I am starting to do my task. But with God’s grace, I was able to finish every task that was given to me quickly and correctly. In fact, they told me that I am a fast learner and they were impressed with my work. I was thankful because they welcomed me warmly. They don’t make me feel that I am just a trainee and treated me as one of them. As well as the managers and heads of the company, they are very kind and accommodating. My first week was really a great start and I was motivated to do the best that I can and to excel more. WEEK 2
On the second week of my training, I wasn’t able to complete the whole week because of the holiday. It was Labor Day, and the office staffs are not required to go for work.
I was given different tasks during the week. In terms of difficulty, it was a level higher than the previous week. They even assigned me to take charge in the tool room to get familiarized with the tools they use in the production. At first, it was hard for me because I don’t have any background about those tools. But now, I am confident that I know those things.
As I stay in the tool room, I don’t just gain knowledge, I also gained friends. I had the chance to be close to the production personnel and the supervisors as well.

WEEK 3
The third week of my training seems to be easier than the previous weeks. I am now more comfortable with the work place as well as my work mates. I don’t have hard tasks for the week so I just take things easy.
I wasn’t able to complete the week. I was absent for two days because I got sick. But I had informed my training manager ahead of time. I was lucky because she is considerate and she lets me rest for days.
This week is a great week. I get along more with my work mates. I have known them through their stories. They are very kind indeed. We also had a day where we went out for lunch.
It was a week with full of happiness and laughter moments. This week is one of the weeks that I will truly treasure. TRAINING EXPERIENCES

WEEK 4
On the fourth week of my training, what I did is mostly on typing, encoding, and filing. I did some important files such as Master List of Machinery, Master Preventive Maintenance, Master List of Equipment, and Master Calibration Schedule. I was thankful because they have trusted me to do such important documents for the company. After work, we have decided to go out to get together and have some bonding time. We went to the mall, have something to eat, and we also do shopping. It doesn’t look like a trainee together with her boss and work mates having fun, but it looks like we’re friends for long time. This proves me that On-the-Job Training was made not just to make you learn about the working process in a company, but will also teaches you how to interact with others and adapt with their different attitudes.

WEEK 5 This week is a week of overload works. I was asked to make the Key Performance Measure (KPM). It is all about the company\s performance every month. I have started from the month of January for each of the KPM. Some of the KPM that I did was for the Attendance, Over Time, Incoming QC Inspection (IQC), Outgoing QC Inspection (OQC), and Sales Performance. It was a bit hard for me, since it was my first time to do that.
KPM is more of encoding data for the graphs. As I finish the graphs for each KPM, I have to do the analysis and the Improvement Plans. It takes time for me to finish each KPM since I started from the month of January up to April. In no doubt, it is hard, but I take the positive side of it. I now know how to make documents like KPM, so if I will be asked to do another one, I am sure to myself that I can do it more effectively.

So far, I am enjoying my stay in the company. We almost treat each one as a family. I was lucky because I conducted my On-the-Job Training there and get to know my work mates and the bosses too. There are not so much things to do. We just take it easy and do the assigned tasks for us.

WEEK 7 The seventh week of my training is a busy week. We did a lot of things, more on filing and completion. I have also experienced coming home late because of the over time. This week is a busy week because we need to finish every document needed for the audit next week. They will be audited by AJA. It is an independent registrar (certification body) providing ISO and other standard accreditation services. It is so much for them to pass the audit that will be conducted by AJA. The audit will be conducted for each department that is why each one of them is busy for the preparation. While they are busy, I as well am busy for the filing of the important documents. I also helped them whenever they needed.

WEEK 8 This is the last week of my training and I was asked to extend for one more day. It was because of their internal audit. But the day before the audit was so tiring. We needed to over time again just to assure that everything is set for tomorrow’s audit. I was like an assistant to everyone because I am helping each of them just to finish their work. As the audit was started, I am in charge of almost everything. I answer phone calls, doing quotation for the customers’ order and so much more. It was tiring, yet I enjoyed it. Good thing that there is no so much things to do and clients to talk to. But the most fulfilling thing is when they have passed the audit. I was happy for them and I can say that it is worth all the hard work and over time we did.
TRAINING EXPERIENCES
Learnings
The training I had in Riclet Engineering is an everyday learning experience. I was exposed in the actual work in the firm, became familiar with the documents and learned how to use the equipments that are usually used in the office. Aside from those things, I also learned to be more sociable and to adjust myself in the environment where I am working at and to those whom I am working with.
For almost two months of my stay there, I learned so much not only those things that are related to my course but also the things that molded me into a person I am right now. As I was working as a trainee at Riclet Engineering, I learned to become a hard-working person. The time to finish the tasks assigned to me is important, but it is also important that I should do it correctly. I have learned to appreciate even the simplest lessons studied in school. I was able to realize the importance of theories and formulas that were discussed in school and also, to understand that everything that was taught in school can be a tool that I can use in my future career because during my On-the-Job Training, the terms that I have learned in school were used in the company where I conducted my training. As I was conducting my training, I also learned to accept and admit my mistake and how to take it positively.
After the training, I realized that On-the-Job Training is not just a requirement to be completed but an opportunity to show what skills, knowledge, and talents I have and also an opportunity to experience the feeling of working in a firm.
TRAINING EXPERIENCES
Aside from the experiences that I had which are related to my course, this training allowed me to get acquainted with the employees of Riclet Engineering. Being with them is an honor and a great pleasure for me. During my stay as a trainee, they kept on encouraging and motivating me to study hard and to do my best always.
CONCLUSION
Nothing beats experience as the perfect learning tool. This On-the-Job Training served as my stepping stone to pursue my dream. This training gave me an inspiration to do more effort in my studies.
Despite of the short period of my training, it was still a very meaningful one. The training enriched my confidence created a foundation of being a good employee someday. It caused a very huge effect to me as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Student. I was really renewed. I learned to be diplomatic both in action and words.
The training made me realize that it is really good to know what you are doing, and to love it. As a student, what I can do for now is to learn whatever I can in school, be inspired, love the path that I am taking, and do my best in everything I do, with a positive outlook in mind. I realized that I should be more focused in school and do everything with heart and with all that I can.
It is also very warm to the heart to know that you have accomplished something and even warmer when there are people who are so proud of what you have done and I felt this feeling during my training. It inspired me to be more determined and competitive in everything that I do in my life as a student today and as a professional someday.
My On-the-Job Training is and will be very helpful to me as I continue to take my journey. It really gave me a taste of the real world – a glimpse of what lies ahead after graduation.
