March 30, 2015 was my first day of OJT in Philippines Long Distance Telephone Company.. As a trainee in the company of Telecommunication. I've learned a lot of things. Not only in the practical works as a trainee but also in the attitudes that I must keep whenever and wherever have I gone.
First day of my training there, I was very nervous that my heart really beats faster and faster as I was entering the office. I’ve met professional people there. I was assigned in the accounting department under Ms. Anjanette U. Quiling. As I met the people in accounting area, that the people there were very nice and all of them were really easy to approach.
The first task that I did was familiarizing there system called KENAN.. I was assigned to check if the prepared amount is match with their roadmap. I need to sure all details are correct and match even the format is important. On the second day of my training, Leslie and Jonah teach me some techniques on excel like pivot, sort, and bashing. At first, I have the hardship of familiarizing all the work they are giving me. Maybe because I don't find it connected with my course. I don't find myself productive if I will just sit and wait for my turn to use computers . But as days goes by they tough me how answering phones calls, sending bill through email including using a fax and preparing a Card 7.
At first I am reluctant to answer the phone because I'm afraid I might give them the wrong information and this may cause the company a bad name to their customer. With proper teaching from my supervisor and co-intern, I was able to help them and also I'm enjoying
