Nathaniel Miller Interview Analysis

My interview with Nathaniel Miller revealed a considerable deal of information. Nathaniel’s family moved around when he was younger due to his father being in the military, eventually settling down in San Antonio, where he went to the University of Texas in the fall of 2005. After graduating in December of 2009 with a degree in English, while looking for a job, he landed a position as Copy Editor with the Odessa American in the April of 2010. In January of 2011, he finally received his awaited shot at journalism and eventually became the Courts Reporter where he remains as a journalist. Though my mind is still not made up on the subject of if I will go into journalism, I am now certain English is what I wish to major in. I will take note of what I learned from Mr. Miller and pursue my passion for writing. My preparation for this interview, for me (and hopefully for Mr. Miller), made it a much more relaxed environment. I did put a considerable amount of thought into what I would say and ask, nonetheless, I still remained incredibly nervous. Nevertheless, once we started talking, it became easier and I believe this assisted in obtaining the proper information I was searching for. The greatest lesson learned on the subject of interviewing was to, not only ensure I contact the interviewee the day before, but also to do more research on how to present questions. I also learned I should prepare a place sooner than I initially did for the interview. All in all, this assignment was an extraordinary lesson on
