ABSTRACT
Pakistan is one amongst the countries that is struck by disasters, both natural & manmade at regular interval. The devastating impacts of disasters in terms of lives losses, economics losses and livelihood are far more than one can imagine this is all due to Pakistan’s inadequate preparedness to manage disasters; it has failed to effectively cope with them. But the fact is that that all these losses could be prevented with just some basics interventions. Start of Disaster Management history in Pakistan is back link to 1958 with National Calamity Act 1958.
