National Honor Society
Being a member of the National Honor Society is a highly prestigious honor. I would love to be a member of this society because all of my life I have lived by a standard of nothing less than the best and I think that being in this organization will continue my journey of excellence. I want to be able to improve my communication skills and leadership abilities. To help the community through service activities and to be a good role model to other students so they can see that being a hard working student is a good thing. To also prepare myself for real-life situations and college by giving me experience and pushing me even harder to accomplish all that I can in high school. I have good communication skills. I am very friendly and hardworking. I love to help others and learn new things. I do not follow other people’s bad influences; I tend to do my own thing and participate in whatever I can. I am honest, respectful and I have courtesy. I would like to increase my leadership skills and be of more service.
Here are some examples of my service to my community. During my 8th grade year in Elena Christian Jr. High School, both my classmates and I, we decided to do a beach cleanup. We chose the beach across from Water Gut. It was a wonderful experience because I was able to help out my community in a positive way. I volunteer and participate with the Junior Meteorology Club of Elena L. Christian Junior High School. I help with certain fundraisers such as; bake sales, car washes and collecting donations. I like to be there for people who are in need because it shows people that I am a caring and loving person. I also volunteered at the Agriculture Fair of 2010. I was helping out the Virgin Islands Police Department booth, assisting the police cadets, police officers, lieutenants and as well as the commissioner. Both my mom and I, we donated funds for Haiti at the VIPD in Frederiksted.
I am really proud of the decisions that I have made to serve my community. I
