National Honor Society Essay

Leadership Characteristics I would be a valuable member to NHS because I have the ability set examples and exceed expectations in academics. I am also a hard worker and a great role model who always helps others. I am interested in joining the organization because I am confident in my leadership qualities and want to help the community. I plan to demonstrate leadership, develop character, and create enthusiasm for academic excellence while participating in NHS. Whenever I set a goal, I am certain to achieve it. With my outstanding personality and traits, I plan to be useful to NHS and St. Louis High School.
I have an assortment of traits that make me an outstanding role model and that would also help promote leadership. As a new addition to NHS, I vow to help my fellow classmates study and reach their full potential. I am on the honor roll, and possess a variety of study skills and habits that I can pass on to others. I am also a patient and open­minded person, making it easy for me to get along with people. I can work well either individually or on a team. As a bonus, I am willing to stay after school or come in early to help tutor students, and can adjust my schedule according to when NHS needs additional people. I promise to utilize my leadership skills and work with other NHS members to achieve success for the organization.
I also possess a diversity of features that would help NHS develop character. I am supportive, confident, and always listen to the opinions to others. In my spare time, I offer to help others with their assignments. I have organizational skills and am able to come up with many innovative ideas that will be beneficial to NHS. I am a great listener, but can step up to be a leader when needed. I am kind and polite, and always turn my

work in on time. I have the ability to speak in front of large groups of people and present objectivities. With my abilities, I will inspire new concepts and further develop the character of NHS.
With the aforementioned leadership skills, I can easily create enthusiasm for academic excellence. I possess a selection of abilities that would make me useful to the organization. For example, I am experienced with computer publishing programs and able to create posters promoting NHS. I also plan to volunteer in events as much as possible, and can fill in for other people who can’t be in attendance. Whether I’m volunteering or helping a fellow student, I vow to act with honesty, integrity, diligence, and the best of my ability. This way, I will be able to create enthusiasm for academic excellence in everything I’m doing.
With my unique skills and abilities, I am able to step up and represent NHS with confidence. I am a great strategist and am able to plan ahead to achieve many goals.
Because of my profound traits, I am able to promote leadership, develop character, and create enthusiasm for academic excellence. I plan on working with fellow classmates and
NHS members to reach academic success. Inevitably, my ability as a leader will be beneficial to NHS.
