It was fairly obvious growing up, that Fact 10 is true. There has never been a full fledged friendship between the two. I also did not know that military and political debates went on during the dinner. I just assumed every individual was bonding and having fun with one another's
company. The plants played a huge role in the lives of both the Native Americans and the Pilgrims. Plants provided both parties with food, food seasonings, jewelry, shelter, and medicines. Plants could be dried up and made into small little necklace and earring pieces. Once dried up, plant leaves could have been used to cover the outsides and insides of houses as an insulation. Plants that were dried and crushed up had some some of medicinal use as well. Without the plants around human civilization, there would have been no Indians and Pilgrims. This change in history would have had major effects on the world we live in today. A few items that were mentioned, were cranberries, turkey, corn, stuffing, squash, and even deer. According to this author's claim, there was only mashed pumpkin, deer, porridge, and pounded corn. Regardless of the claim, some of these plants were what helped establish today's society. One small step in the past leads to an even bigger one in the future.
