Nature Versus Nurture
Have you ever wondered why someone acted like or completely different than their parents? It is probably because of nature or nurture. Nature is how you act or how you look and act by genetics usually from your parents. Nurture is usually how you act but sometimes how you look by how you were treated usually when you were younger. Nature and nurture are both key components on how you look and act. I believe that nurture has the most important role in how you act and look.
Nature is the genetics usually that come from your parents that can affect how you act or how you look. Anals and Sam were almost exactly alike even though they were raised over a thousand miles away but most of their genetics were the same because they were from the same

Nuture played a big part in how Jeanie and her siblings acted. Jeanie was treated harshly because of her father. She spent most of her life tyde to a potty chair. Most of her food she got was thrown to her. When she was a teenager she was only the size of a six year old. When she got out of the house she did not walk like a normal teenage girl. She could not speak much because she was never taught how to talk or walk.
Even if Nature and Nurture have great influences in our personality I think that Nurture has the greatest influences in someone's life. I was probably an INFJ but as I grew up I became more and more like an ENTJ and my parents started treating me different than my brothers. I think Nurture because Jeanie acted differently because she was treated harshly and did not get much sociality very much at all when she was young when her brain was developing.
Although most people would probably choose nature is the most important my opinion is nurture. I think this because I was treated a little different then my brothers so I act a little different then them. If you are treated harshly when you were young you might not even act like a normal human. If you have almost the same genetics then you siblings then you will probably ack almost alike. The next time you see someone acting really bad or good just think of nature and

If it was all genetics or environment one could say that person A and person B both are raised in the same environment and the same advantages or disadvantages so they will lead the same path in life; whereas this may be likely it is not always the case. Two people can be raised in the same home but turn out to be completely different individuals. There are too many environmental and genetic factors that help to determine whether a person will end up as a serial killer or…

Nature vs Nurture are studies that have been going on for years within the scientific community to explain multiple issues. Some studies will suggest that nature makes us who who are, meaning genetic factors are the major contributor of being who we are. These include what personality traits, intelligence, and emotional characteristics we will inherit from our parents. Thus, these studies ultimately state we are genetically predisposed in deciding who we become. On the other side of the debate is the nurture studies, meaning environmental factors are the major contributors to shaping us into who we are or become. This include your upbringing, your lifestyle, home environment and the way someone was interacted with, taught or treated as a young child.…

Whether nature or nurture has more of an influence over individual development is debatable and has been a common argument in the field of psychology for a long time. Nature refers to inherited traits and genes given to us at birth which we have no control over, and nurture refers to family, friends or society. The exchange between nature and nurture is dynamic and complex and both nature and nurture cause dynamic and continuous influence on development. The relationship between nature and nurture cannot be explained definitively and it is hard to determine which one influences human development more.…

The major debate concerning nature and nurture has been going on for decades and is still unresolved. Many people like to believe what we have inherited and our genes are what make us unique (the way we are and how we develop). Other people believe that the way we are raised and our experiences, that make us the way we are and how we grow. Physically the way we are built and look can be mainly due to nature. The genes that we inherit from our parents make the way of we look. For example, people say ‘Don’t you look like your mother?’ Genetic inheritance can define our eye colour (blue or hazel), whether we have straight or curly hair or how small we might…

Think of serial killer. Does he kill because it is in his genes? No matter what his parents did to raise him; he would have been a violent, serial killer no matter what. On the other hand, did his environment shape him to be a serial killer? Such as, his parent’s did not pay him enough attention, or he was abused as a child. Nature and nurture are factors that have come to be recognized as playing or interacting roles in development.…

Physical features, although unique in some measure, are proven to be acquired from the biological parents of any organism. The Nature v. Nurture debate relates to humans and how they develop their unique behavioral habits. Many who support the Nature Theory endorse essentially that a person’s intelligence, personality, aggression, and sexual orientation pertain primarily to their DNA stemmed from their biological parents (Powell). For example, if someone’s parents are depressed or violent, the Nature Theory supporters conclude that their offspring will also bear these negative these traits. However, the Nurture Theory presents that these behavioral aspects are originated predominantly from the environmental factors of our upbringing, which…

I am writing this essay on nature vs. nurture to try to figure out which is more important. Nature is the side says that our behavior is pre-determined by our genes and DNA. A lot of the nature research has to deal with twin studies and IQ. Nurture is the side that says our environment shapes our behavior. Many people believe we are born a “blank slate”, and are influenced to behave a certain way. The conversation on which side is more important has been going on for decades, if not centuries. By looking at both sides it can help us understand why people are the way that they are and it can help us understand learning disabilities, serial killers and psychopaths.…

A lot of people wonder where they get their freckles from, or their edgy and thrill seeking personality. This type of curiosity about where people get their traits from brings about the worldwide debate on nature vs. nurture. There are scientists who argue that people develop characteristics mainly based on their genetic makeup, and then their are people who say that environment and social interactions has more to do with a person’s traits than do genes. People often question why people are the way they are. Nature and Nurture often have a big impact on a person, and can help in explaining why they are a certain way. The nature vs. nurture debate encompasses a variety of major topics, leading to the idea that both nature and nurture influences people in their behaviors and decisions.…

Let’s talk about the whole controversy between Nature vs. Nurture. Nature is based on DNA. Many people believe that it is DNA that decides on how humans will behave, what occupations they will have, and what their personalities will be like. Others, on the other hand, believe that it is the environment, or nurture, that decides on occupation, behavior, and personality. Although nature does decide on what color hair you have, what eye color you have, and what your height is, nurture has the greatest impact on humans and influences people the most to different kinds of activities, meet different people, and the difference between what is right and wrong.…

Nature vs. nurture is one of the many debates that have been contemplated and rebutted for many years. This debate is very controversial because even though the genetic makeup has a major role in the development of a person, the nurture and the environment in which the person is brought up in is an equally important factor. In my opinion, I believe that the nurturing of a person, is the predominant factor. The evidence which supported nurture over nature made me believe that athletic ability and criminal behaviour are a result of the way a person is nurtured.…
