One of the most prominent differences between Jesus of Nazareth and Siddhartha Gautama was their background/social class. Siddhartha Gautama, perhaps better known as Buddha, was noted for living a life of luxury whereas Jesus of Nazareth came from a hard-working, lower-class family. Siddhartha
considered himself to be nothing more than a mortal man; Jesus, on the other hand, more so viewed himself as a god-like figure.
The overall concept of Buddhism is one I’ve been deeply drawn to ever since I had first learned about it. I’m a Christian, yes, but I also believe in karma. I think the decisions we make as human beings are far more significant than what we may realize. In my opinion, the morals and strategies in which we deal with our everyday struggles determines how our soul lives on, whether it be in paradise or another reality.
