The fight for survival is a conflict that all species encounter. It is instinctive for all animals to put up their best defence and protect themselves when a threat is encountered. In higher order thinking animals such as us humans, confronting a challenging conflict requires elaborate cognitive thought processes. Depending on the individual’s own conscience, some people may succumb to compromising their values in order to protect themselves. In many instances, in both the fictional world and real life, an individual is put in a position where they must decide what is more important to them – self-preservation or moral values.…
I have learned a lot about my leadership style since attending the Non-Commission Officer (NCO) Academy. I will describe the type of leader I currently am, how I want to be perceived as a leader in the future, and how I plan on improving in the next 3-5 years. With the world constantly evolving, I must become a better NCO by improving my use of these concepts: Transactional Leadership Behaviors (TLB), Emotional Flexibility, 4-Dimiensions of Wellness (4-DW), Ethical Decisions, and understanding High Context (HC) societies.…

K-12, or Model Kinder-6-4-2 is a program developed by the Department of Education. The educational system in the Philippines will now have thirteen years of basic education. The research is bound to finding out the differences and similarities of Philippine K-12 from other countries. The researchers also conducted an interview with Mrs. Luz Mandaue and she said that the educational system in other countries is better than the Philippine K-12. K-12 was compared with the U.S. educational system and the Chinese educational system because their government gives importance to their education. Our research will show that reforms are usually for the better especially when they see that we are always left behind. The researchers’ study is about K-12 and some other educational system of countries like U.S., China, Japan and Singapore. The researchers would like to know why Filipinos prefers to study in foreign countries rather than in their own countries. And this study would also like to show what benefits will the incoming generation of students gain with this system, and to show how other countries adjust during an educational reform. The researchers would like to inform Filipinos in what might happen in their system of living once K-12 is the on-going educational system of the country.…

The administration asserts that with the implementation of such program, the problem of unemployment in the country will be resolved. In as much as employment in the Philippines is concerned, the K12 education also responds to the fact that most countries in the world already have the same plan in their educational institutions. The Philippine Educational System is having some difficulties in resolving the different issues regarding the quality of education that we have today. Because of this, ,His Excellency Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino our 14th President prioritized the upgrading of the educational system in our country. To give the Filipino people a good quality of education and for the Filipinos to be more globally competitive. One of his agenda is the K-12 PROGRAM wherein 2 more years are added in secondary level which is called “Senior Highschool” , one of the objective of this program is to prepare the student in entering the tertiary level and so that their skills be developed as they are preparing themselves to enter to a new chapter of their lives. With this 10-point agenda that is being implemented by our president we can expect a more progressive, ideal and competitive individual that will be of great help in the future. It is very inspiring to know that the government never stop thinking on how to upgrade the educational system in our country. This time, we know that every Filipino has no right to say that I did not go to school because of poverty because with the programs of Pnoy being poor is not an excuse or a hindrance in going to school and get a college degree, It is now our own will if we want to have a bright future. As the saying goes “ We make our own destiny”.…
Education is generally described as “the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction.” It is a basic human right because it is considered one of the fundamental guarantees that enable an individual to live his full potential as a human being. In line with this, the 1987 Philippine Constitution states that, “The State shall establish, maintain, and support a complete, adequate, and integrated system of education relevant to the needs of the people and the society”. To do this the Education System started to mold its structure to align with the global standards and competitiveness. This will give graduates competencies and skills relevant to the job market. The K to 12 curriculum for the Philippine education is a solution to make the country’s current education system aligned internationally and make Filipino students globally competitive.
