I choose Steve Coogan as Charles Loisel because he fit’s the role. He’s not too young and he’s not too old and he did a fabulous job in the movie 80 days around the world. As for Cecile de France I choose her because she was also in the movie 80 days around the world and I thought that she and Steve would make and excellent couple in this movie. Also if you look at the picture below you will see that the picture of Cecile describes how Mathilde looks in the end.
I personally think Nova Scotia shouldn’t join confederation because the cost of buying goods from Canada would be higher than buying goods from Britain because of the high tariffs. Joining confederation might damage the trade links between Nova Scotia and U.S which would be bad since they just had a Civil War with Britain. If Nova Scotia did join confederation they would have a small voice in the assembly compared to Ontario and Quebec because of there small population and because the seats on the assembly are based on representation by population. Nova Scotia has little existing economic links (trade) with the rest of Canada and they have no crucial problems which needs solving or which would be solved via confederation. Also the people of Nova Scotia found the financial parts of the agreement for the railway completely unacceptable, because they could trade by sea saving them money because then they wouldn’t have to raise the taxes so they could pay for a railway.
