Human beings are curious and like to explore. Not only we explore geographically, we also explore art, science, ideas, and space. People are attracted to things they have never seen and don't know about. They also look for knowledge and resources they need to survive. Most exploration drive by curiosity, but what must possess in order to succeed? Personality qualities are the keys. Determination, courage, and adventurousness are needed in order for explorers to be succeed.

When he was in first grade, he had read more than eighty books. He could read better than fifth graders. His mother spent lots of time reading books to Neil Armstrong. He loved reading and determined to learn new stuffs. In the age of seven, He took a really weird jobs like shaving grass in the backyard to earn money, so he could pay for the flight lessons.
Second, Neil Armstrong's courage. For example, he was almost get killed during the Korean War. His airplane's wing was damaged, he had have courage because it was a very dangerous mission. He was escaped the crashing plane by using parachute and landed in a rice field in safe territory. In 1966, Neil Armstrong had to have courage because he almost died on his first space mission. On his Gemini mission, the capsule was lost control. He timed hitting the thrusters so the spinning would stop and saved two of his teammates.
Finally, Neil Armstrong's adventurousness. The two most exciting adventures were his Gemini 8 mission and moon landing. He was selected as the commander pilot for the Gemini 8 flight into space. Their mission was to dock their command vehicle to a burned out rocket stage. Even though he almost died during the mission, he guided the capsule to an emergency splashdown and everything worked out. Of course, His most successful mission was the moon landing.
