While Macbeth is a strong and brave warrior, he also has a soaring imagination and strong emotions that fill him with suspicions. At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is portrayed as an energized, assertive, and strategic warrior. He is seen as the bravest of them all and loyal to his King Duncan. He does not have any hatred towards his king, but pure adoration and respect. However, when the witches tempt him with prophecies, Macbeth 's mind fills up with strong emotions, quickly gaining desire to gain power. Lady Macbeth mentions that, “t is too full o’th’milk of human kindness.”(Act 1, scene 5), she identifies her husband as someone who is capable of great compassion and affection.
