Before their Neolithic revolution the Chinese had collected their food from nature just like the Mesopotamians. Instead of just gathering their food the Chinese began to develop their agriculture system also like the Mesopotamians. The history of China’s agriculture has been told in a Chinese legend unlike the evidence from Mesopotamia. The Chinese legend says that once the population grew there was a good shortage, creating exploration of agriculture. In contrast with the Mesopotamians who developed agriculture because they wanted to, the Chinese needed to create an agricultural system.
Another place that went through a Neolithic period was North America. North America’s Neolithic period was only about 5,000 years ago.
