World War II
In World War II, two nuclear bombs were dropped in Japan. These bombs caused lots of death and damage to the environment and to the land; even now Japanese people have health problems because of the radiation in some zones. There are many reasons about why the Americans dropped these bombs.
The first reason why the Americans wanted to drop these bombs was because they wanted revenge for Pearl Harbour, Hawaii; here was the base of the pacific fleet of the USA and the Japanese sank all off the fleet without even being at war with the US. Also, the Americans weren’t at war in any time.
Another reason why the bomb was dropped is because the US wanted to show their superiority because after the attack on Pearl Harbour America didn’t have much power.
Japan has been cruel to the American prisoners that they made when conquering the islands and in the war so the Americans wanted them also to suffer and wanted revenge for what they did.
Americans believed that Japanese would never surrender and because of that they wanted to find a way so that the Japanese would give up and war could finish because the Americans never wanted to be at war.
Also the Americans said that the bomb cost a lot of money and the Americans wanted to use is to see the effects and so that the money would not be lost.
However, these bombs cause a lot of damage to the land, the environment and the people. Many babies and young children were affected by the nuclear radiation and some of them died and many of them had deformations because of this. Also this affected old people not only new born babies, many diseases were caused by these bombs and lots of them died.
Hiroshima was one of the few cities that the war didn’t affect them so that they could see the real effects of the bomb in people and big cities. They killed innocent people that weren’t even involved in the war many people survived but some of them had thyroid cancer and died.
If America wouldn’t have dropped the bomb

In August of 1945, the United States launched two atomic bombs on Japan; the first, in Hiroshima on August 6, and the second in Nagasaki a few days later. Despite the obvious diplomatic advantage to implementing one of the most intimidating weapons of that time, the United States’ tactics and goals behind dropping the atomic bombs were purely military oriented; the political benefit was merely an added bonus. The atomic bomb was necessary due to the Japanese’s refusal to surrender and the hundreds of thousands of lives at stake.…

America suggests that using the atomic bomb was the best solution they had in order to prevent the death of more Japanese and American soldiers. They say that if they hadn’t used it then there would be a land invasion and a lot more people would die because Japanese soldiers are people who will do anything to win for the sake of their emperor and honor. However, if only their intention was really to decrease the number of the people who were going to be murdered, bring peace to the world and end the war than they wouldn’t drop the bomb on two big cities where a lot of people live. They would make a demonstration and drop it somewhere where there is not a sign of life. This way, the Japanese would be scared of another bomb and surrender and this kind of a massacre wouldn’t happen. Yet America knew that in case of a land invasion their chances of winning was not that high because of the dedication of the Japanese soldiers.…
