Week 1 iLab
In this week’s iLab assignment I will discuss the detail experience with web base application software “Skype”.
1. Were you able to login?
Answer: Skype software was easy to download and the set-up section was quick and easy. I was able to login with issues.
2. Which students did you have a conversation with?
Answer: I was not able to communicate with any of my class mates; however I was able to communicate with Professor Mustafa. We did experience or undergo some technical issues with video at the professor’s end, I also experience problems with audio setting, however I mange to overcome my issues fairly easy.
3. Result of your chat session with fellow students.
Answer: Chat session was not possible due availability of students, however I did send out request for chat sessions for three or four days.
4. was your conference call successful, and how many people did you have in it?
Answer: Chat session was not possible due availability of students, however I did send out request for chat sessions for three or four days.
5. An optional call to a landline. How was it, i.e. what was the quality of it like?
Answer: I did not used the service, however I hear that the service is exceptionally great base on other users experiences, they all say that it is like having magic-jack service or all most like regular VoIP service like cablevision.
6. Skype Extras section -
Answer: Skype extras manager is a fair tool for getting games and some extra applications that you might use during your Skype login experience, in other words is ok but not the greatest.
