This is a position that is consider an IT field and is very important to business.
The position is unique compared to other IT fields.
Network administrator will always be in demand.
In the 10 years I see the position only getting bigger and the future will hold great things.
I believe automation will not eliminate human presence in Network Administration.
Network System Administrator
Information Technology has always been a passion of mine from a very young age, even more so now that technology has expanded. Furthermore, I have become increasingly fascinated in the field of Network System Administration. Network Administrators are responsible for all operations that occur on a daily basis on central computer networks. They are also in charge of the setup of cat5 wiring for new networks, installing new software/hardware, and also repairing and upgrading outdated networks. Throughout this paper, I will be discussing a brief history networks and network management, network features, an understanding of the responsibilities of Network Administration, and the opportunities that Network Administration can bring for the future.
Network Management can be defined by (Rouse 1): “A network management system is a set of hardware and/or software tools that allow an IT professional to supervise the individual components of a network within a larger network management framework”. Network management is a group of hardware or software tools that support Network Administrators in configuring, planning, controlling and monitoring computer networks.
