To answer your question: Have you ever experienced a discrepancy between clinical picture and imaging studies in your practice? (Thomas)

Yes. I received a referral from neurology for a 42 y/o female who was diagnosed with a possible stroke. I performed my chart reviews and read the neuro-radiologist report. Interestingly, the report of the head CT scan was negative for stroke. I went to see the patient and performed my examination. She has spasticity on left upper and lower extremities and unable to move her left side. Reflexes were normal; Her speech is normal but noted to be intentionally slow. Maximal assistance with all functional mobility including gait. I am curious about

    Procedure: Informed witnessed consent was obtained from the patient and placed in chart. Patient was transferred to the angio suite table and placed in supine position. The right groin was prepped and draped in the usual sterile fashion. Local anesthetic was infiltrated at the puncture site.
