According to Document A, it funded “half a billion dollars” to help people who needs direct and immediate relief. The support of black voters, with 75% of all black voters voting for Roosevelt, proves that the relief that the New Deal had in its programs was very helpful. And also because of New Deal, blacks were given importance in the government.
Another reason why New Deal was a success was because it helped decrease poverty. With its program which is called Works Progress Administration, it did not just improve employment rate, but also helped, according to Document D, “one million undernourished children” by its “school lunch program”. The program did not just help children become healthy but also increased school attendance by 80%. Therefore, because of New Deal, it made it possible to improve people’s health and school attendants at the same time.
In conclusion, New Deal was a great help to people and to the economy to get up from the Great Depression. It helped people get a job to support their family, get immediate relief, and receive aid to poverty. It created a big successful change that brought improvement to people and to the economy.
