“El objetivo de la gestión estratégica en una organización es implementar y asignar recursos en una forma que le da una ventaja competitiva.” (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart & Wright, 2008). Con estos nos referimos a que necesitamos ser eficientes y prudentes al elegir y seleccionar el procedimiento que usaremos para lograr nuestro objetivo. Debemos identificar cual es el objetivo de la empresa, en nuestro caso conocemos que la nueva dirección estratégica del hospital es convertirse en un centro regional para pacientes críticamente enfermos. Para alcanzar la meta necesitamos organizamos y funcionar como lo que somos una empresa completamente reconocida para la cual cualquier persona le interese y le complazca trabajar.
Analizando las alternativas que nos proveen, entendemos que tenemos que realizar un proceso para el reclutamiento de las 35 vacantes existentes en el nuevo departamento de la Unidad Cardiovascular. Analicemos primero las posiciones, cuales son las descripciones del puesto, cuáles son sus requisitos, sus responsabilidades, cual debe ser su salario, que beneficios le podemos ofrecer para mantenerlo leal a nosotros. Según el libro de Staffing Organization (2008), este proceso sería una actividad de adquisición donde se envuelve la planificación de la cantidad de personas necesitadas, el establecer los requisitos del puesto o KSAOs.
