Nfl's Roll The Tide Analysis
“The Browns roll the tide”

Let me come out and say it right off the bat, Alabama would never in a million years beat an NFL team. Quit it with the “ROLL TIDE” antics and come back to reality. The roster full of amateure boys would stand no chance against experienced professional men, the best of the best.

Let’s first analyze the Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama is currently 14-0 and looking to win the national championship for the second year straight. Led by the number one ranked defense the Tide only allowed 16 touchdowns and an average of 244 yards against. Offensively the Tide averaged a stunning 460 yards per game and scored almost 40 points per game. With the number one defense and a top ten offense, it doesn't get much better.

There is a reason the 40 yard dash is the most talked about stat at the NFL combine. The NFL weeds out those who are too slow and separates the men from the boys. Those who play in the NFL are simply a different breed of man, the best athletes in the world.

Battle in the trenches:
Alabama has the best Defensive line in college football, but it's no match for the all star caliber offensive lineman that cleveland has. The Browns pride and joy is their captain and star player Joe Thomas. Likely headed to the Hall of fame, Joe Thomas has was selected to the pro bowl every year from 2007-2016. Alabamas pass rushers are some of the best to ever play college football, but the 10x pro bowler has seen it all and could likely do more than hold his own.

Skill positions:
The browns have no shortage of big name stars including: all pro receiver Terrelle Pryor, all pro corner Joe Haden and star tight end Gary Barnidge. These three all stars all on the field at the same time is something no other college team has. Alabama has never had to face so many players of this caliber at the same time. Teams in the NFL struggle to contain Pryor and Barnidge at the same time, now imagine a college trying to do that. I am confident that Joe Haden could shut down any of Alabamas receivers in man coverage with no

The report also says that it will be a win-win situation for both teams as the Browns will get their wish of a draft pick for next season while this could be the chance for Thomas to win a ring to a competitive team. But the Seahawks must move quickly as other teams are also scrambling to get the services of Thomas.…

There were much more threats on defense, averaging their opponents to about 10 points a game. It was very difficult to score on this defense, but if you do score on them, they’ll make sure you don’t come close to the endzone again. Their offense wasn’t as scary as their defense, but they did have some playmakers in Swann, Bradshaw, and Harris. This team having the best defense without a doubt that season and a playmaking offense, they would become…

It has been clear that coach Mason prefers size and length and Burks is another perfect example of why it can succeed in his defensive scheme. Try this, turn the laughing stock of all of college football and make them into a force to be reckoned with and in the national talk not once, but twice, this is exactly what coach Bill Snyder did with the Kansas State Wildcats. Bill Snyder is a 77 year old man who is a college football coach for the Kansas State Wildcats and is coming close to the end of his outstanding career as a head coach. Not only has he turned around a football program, but a community. Snyder has an exceptional record and he is revered as a great coach. In college football, the BCS system has been around since 1998 and has become well established. The BCS system is well established but has accumulated much criticism over the years due to inefficiencies with the system. Like history shows, as time passes, people find better and more efficient ways to do things. In this case, a large percentage of college football fans would like to see college football take on a playoff system versus the traditional BCS system. According to collegefootball.procon.org, 85% of college football fans support changing to a playoff system, according to a 2007 Gallup Poll. In 2005 the world had been introduced to one of the best collegiate running backs to ever go through the University of Southern California. His name is Reggie Bush and he achieved one of the best personal awards any collegiate football player could want and that would be the Heisman award. Reggie bush played running back for USC in 2005, he was 6 foot tall and weighed 200 pounds, and he played tailback as a sophomore in college and played in 13 games. He was named “Pigskin club of Washington D.C offensive player of the year.” He was also named the2004 PAC-10 offensive player of the year, “Then He was named the 2005 Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year (just the fifth player ever so honored and the first non-quarterback to do it in 20 years) and also made the All-Pac-10 first team as a tailback (the squad's only unanimous pick) and second team as a punt returner.” Nor do I need to mention that he won the 2005 Heisman trophy award by a landslide. Bush received 2,541 points and beat Young by a staggering 93 points. Everybody knows that bush deserves the Heisman trophy whether they want to admit to it or not Bush was the best.…

Friday Night Lights’ Boobie Miles and Oklahoma Sooner Marcus Dupree have quite the similarities when it comes to their football glory. Boobie Miles and his Uncle L.V. had dreams of Boobie turning professional and being a highly paid running back in the NFL. Marcus Dupree had similar goals and dreams as the media, during his college career, was making him out to be the best to ever play the game. In his high school days Boobie suffered a sickening blow to his knee that set back his dreams of playing in the pros. Boobie struggled to get back onto his feet; his Uncle L.V. was the only one that could lift Boobie’s spirits about playing in the NFL. Marcus Dupree, a standout high school football player from Mississippi was recruited by the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas on a football scholarship. Dupree signed his letter of intent to join the Oklahoma Sooners after a brilliant high school career that included 87 touchdowns and 7,355 yards; he was simply the best running back to come out of high school ever (Bissinger 1). However, things changed quickly during his sophomore year at Oklahoma. Dupree told his Coach Barry Switzer that he had a dream he would tear up his knee in that day’s game but Barry didn’t care; he played. He ended up tearing every ligament in his knee that day, season over, career in jeopardy.…

Here’s an easy question, who was the division one NCAA football national championship last year? If you said the Alabama Crimson Tide you are correct, sort of. Yes, Alabama did defeat the LSU Tigers 21-0 in the National Championship game, but some other teams could make a case for National Champions as well. According to the end of the year Associated Press Poll, Alabama was not an unanimous number one. LSU received one first place vote and Oklahoma State received 4 first place votes. Oklahoma State finished up 3rd in the final poll, after defeating Stanford in the Tostitos Fiesta bowl. Division 1 College football is the only sport that does not have a tournament or playoff system to provide a true national championship.…
