1. A “Plug & Play” 200 kW NAS Battery Unit (NBU) is under development at NGK. It will:
‐ Expedite shipping, installing and relocating multi‐MW NAS installations
‐ Accommodate a broad range of ambient site conditions:
e.g. Operational temperature range is from ‐45 to 55C (special type) or –10 to 45C (standard type).
Special type for salt‐air coastal environments is available.
2. A new 36 kW NAS module design is required for 200 kW NBUs.
Features will include:
‐ Vacuum thermal enclosure to minimize need for stand‐by heater power
‐ Forced‐air cooling to enable efficient high power discharge
‐ Enhanced safety features incorporated in the former 50 kW module design
