National Honors Society is a step further towards this goal, which is one reason as to why i want to join NHS. An additional reason is: joining a prestigious society such as National Honors society would be beneficial in distinguishing me amongst other applicants for college.…

The four pillars for National Honor Society are scholarship, leadership, service, and character are essential to be in the NHS. You need to be a leader and set a good example, give back, have knowledge, and have good character to better the future. Being in the NHS brings new opportunities to better myself and the community. In many ways I believe I model each of these requirements, some more than others.…
I am passionate about being a leader because I see leadership as the product of responsibility and experience. As a former student leader at high school, I believe the meaning of campus leadership is to provide high quality services for the students and the parents. Also, leaders need to exchange ideas from each other, so they can make the community a better place for students to live and study. I am always seeking for opportunities to help people and enrich my experience, and I believe I will make great contributions as a leader on MICA campus.…

I believe that I can bring great leadership and character to the table. I care deeply about my education and I also push myself to work hard in all my AP and honor classes. I strive to see improvement in my grades and work. I truly enjoy learning and hope to grow more knowledgeable as I grow older. I believe that you should not only work for yourself but you should also help ones in need. Participating in numerous amounts of clubs allows me to help others. I also strive to lead and teach others so we can all accomplish a common goal and learn along the way. Becoming a Member of NHS would grant me the chance to contribute all the qualities above and help others. Along with dedication and leadership I show responsibility, respectfulness, motivation,…
It's an honor being able to have the chance to enter the NHS membership because this proves me my hard work and dedication towards my academics has paid off. It has always been a dream of mine to be a part of something where I can help my community and the people in my community. The function of the organization such as the NHS is responsibility and care for others. This organization takes a lot of responsibility because the whole Community is looking up to you and most importantly puts an example for others to follow. It also requires to take care of others because this organization it's meant for the members to help out everyone in need. The NHS is very important because it's all about helping others and thinking of us instead of me. If I…
The four pillars of the NHS are scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. I am proud to say that these are exemplified in my life through my challenging course load and experiences. Throughout my years as a student, the experiences and challenges that life has thrown at me have built me into who I am today. Before I started my high school career, I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. I started taking AP classes as early as my freshman year, and have only taken more since then. My enrollment into the Gifted program has given me opportunities to expand on my intellectual growth, including the Biology Olympiad and American Math Competition. Brains, however, are only a piece of the puzzle; it’s how a person acts that makes…
For as long as I can remember my mom was always telling me about all of the clubs she was in during high school. From what my understanding is and what I’ve learned is a great opportunity given to the students at Washington High School. I see NHS as a way to build character and leadership into a person, more than just grades alone. As this organization/club being student ran, it is a way of letting and showing people what the students can do on their own. This shows through how well the students influence is shown within the community and though their peers.…
Throughout my high school years, I have encountered several struggles. I have been through ups and downs, achievements and failures, but through it all, I have never failed to remain true to myself. I have faced the brutal torture of having my incredible father stripped away from my life as a result of my parents’ divorce, simply due to my mother’s sheer wealth. In fact, such a traumatic experience taught me to be independent and rely solely on myself for the wants and wishes that I have for my future, rather than focus on the past and wish things were the same again. Although my seemingly flawless academic career and overall lifestyle in the past ignite within me a wistful longing to have my father be a part of my life again, recent difficulties have thrown me into a premature state of independence and raw self-realization which I intend to use to the best of my abilities in order to become the best “me” I have ever been and prove myself a worthy candidate for the National Honor Society.…
I have a positive outlook on life. I never want bad things to happen to me or to others. I always want the best out of myself and the people around me. I try my best at everything I do and try to lead by example. I think that I have realistic self-esteem because I try and not bring myself down even during low points in my life. I find a bright side to bring myself up. I am a loving, caring person who will always give everyone a chance to be apart of my life.…
I chose to do this because the course is very science based and I enjoy learning how the body works in relation to sport and exercise and also how sport and exercise effects the body. I also chose to study health and social care. This has given me the knowledge about different situations in health and social care settings such as hospitals and taught me how to deal with such situations. My favourite unit in health and social care was the equality, diversity and rights unit where I learnt the importance of treating people equally and understanding the differences in people beliefs and behaviours and how they should be catered for in health care services and…
‘No price is too high for a bull or too low for a bear.’ As a naïve student of science this statement left me completely baffled. But my unyielding thirst for knowledge and analytical mind compelled me to probe into the depth of this statement, and this triggered my interest in the dynamic yet exciting world of business. A visit to my father’s real estate office had me intrigued by the amount of planning, organization and effort that goes into running a successful business. Moreover, listening to discussions on business, finance and management by virtue of being part of a family involved in diverse businesses including real estate, gas stations and a consumer electronics distribution house also instilled in me a desire to be a part of this success and take it to higher levels.…
Most of my friends that know me well would say that I am a happy, fun and kind person. I would agree with this and I also think I am outgoing and easy to get along with. In my opinion I am generous and caring and I love the feeling I get from helping others. Despite all this, I must admit that I tend to be bossy sometimes and I can also be a bit of a lazy person too.…
