Niccolo Machiavelli is a writer from the renaissance. This piece is about Machiavelli’s life and career, his contributions, and how life would be without him in the world. Some of those things include that politics would still be strictly bonded with ethics. He was the first theorist to decisively divorce politics and ethics. Another reason might be that political thoughts would be different because he wrote a book, called “The Prince”, which was a written handbook for politicians. That handbook might have inspired many people to go into to politics. If he didn’t write that book than there might not even be politicians around today. Our society without politicians would fall because there would be nobody to lead us through our problems with other countries or even our country. Our world is basically built around politics. So without Niccolo we might not have had the encouragement to continue to educate ourselves about politics. Another thing that might have changed is if he didn't write any of his books it might have affected some of the writers in current time. This could have happened because he could have inspired a lot of writers that are around today. Without Niccolo we might not have most of the literature that we have today. Another event that might have changed was the whole renaissance. If he wasn't there and his literature wasn't getting published then some people during that time might not have been inspired by him and there actions might have been affected by that.
