Caso: La Nichols Company

1. Independientemente de las limitaciones del centro de máquinas, prepare un programa de planeación de requerimientos de materiales y también los perfiles de la capacidad para los cuatro centros de máquinas.

Joe Williams es el presidente de la Nichols company, que fabrica tres productos primarios y cuenta con más de 355 empleados. La empresa ha tenido algunos problemas con su cadena de suministro en los últimos meses y, por lo tanto, se ha visto afectado el servicio al cliente debido a que no puede cumplir con sus pedidos a tiempo.

Para resolver este problema se aplicara un programa de planeación de requerimientos de materiales, teniendo en cuenta los productos que se fabrican y las partes que necesitan cada uno.

Los tres productos primarios que elabora la Nichols Company son distinguidos como A, B y C. A continuación vemos los requerimientos de cada uno:

* Para A: 1E, 4F, 4D que depende de 3I * Para B: 2F, 3G que depende de 2I * Para C: 1H, 2 G que depende de 2I

La materia prima de los productos debe ser solicitada con una semana de anticipación ya que el lead time o tiempo de entrega de la misma es de una semana.

El MRP propuesto será para 10 semanas de producción y el comportamiento de las siguientes semanas será muy parecido a las estudiadas. Entonces, nuestro MRP propuesto es el siguiente:
