The solution is to be civil. Civility demonstrates competence and warmth. However, warmth and competence have an inverse relationship making competent bosses seem cold and warm bosses seem incompetent. Therefore, listening, thanking and sharing
are some actions that can be done to improve employers. This does not mean that a person has to make extra effort to be nice but simply offering a smile, encouragement, or acknowledgement of a job well done can boost the self-esteem of an employee. A servant leader is someone who goes beyond his or her self-interest and is dedicated to helping employees grow. Our supervisors should care about this article because being a servant leader correlates with success within the business. This is also what separates a manager from a leader.
