Stand up and Don’t Forget is supportive because if we forget, We don’t know what we could be going through right now. In the play, Mr. Frank took the diary so we could have the play so we get a better idea of what happened. This supports my argument because Mr. Frank kept the diary so we don’t forget what happened. We would forget if Mr. Frank didn’t take the diary. This entire play is in response so we do not forget. This supports my argument because if that diary didn’t exist, then all of us will forget. Elie Wiesel says that he tried to keep the memory alive, that he tried to fight those who forget. If we forget, we are guilty, we are accomplices. This supports my argument because if we do forget, we wouldn’t know what could be happening right now. Wiesel also says that these victims are not alone; that we are not forgetting them, that when their voices are stifled, we shall lend them ours. This supports my argument because this shows that Wiesel will not forget those people that are not alone. We fight those who forget. Also, we are giving those who forget our trust to remember.
