Nonviolence is the safest option, because violence is dangerous. We put our partners and our children in danger of getting hurt. Not only does violence destroy families, it will destroy communities as well. If we choose violence, not only will our hometowns be destroyed, but we won't even be able to rebuild our relationships with the other groups around us. With nonviolence we can protest, by boycotting and continuing the stay at home campaign. Instead of fighting a war, we can negotiate with the government, so we can have our say in the decisions, that are made. If we try to fight them, they will fight back, bring in the national guard, and make new laws restraining us from living the lives, we are supposed to be living. It has yet to fail us, look at the Alexandra bus boycott, a completely peaceful protest where no one got hurt and we got our way. Nonviolent protests gain not only the unity of different groups among South Africa, it exposes the South African government . If the government chooses to fight back with violence, other countries surrounding us, will withdraw all their help and the government will have no one to turn to but to us and they will have to hear our demands and make the changes that help us. They will not help us if we are violent. More people would rather protest peacefully, then go on violent raids and put their lives at risk. We can get more followers and have mass protests, if we choose
