Many teenagers and children are becoming obese over fast food. In result parents are blaming the industry for their children being overweight, but Daniel Wentraub's article “ The Battle Against Fast Food Begins in the Home” points all fingers to the parents. I agree with Wentraub's, parents are at fault for their children's habit of unhealthy eating and becoming obese as a result.
Most parents are their child’s role model in life. Being that role model, the child should be taught everything from how to talk up to how to walk and use the restroom. Along with learning those essentials to life, the child shouldn't be introduced to fast food at a young age. However they should be introduced on how to eat five servings of fruits and vegetables with their meals verses chips, cookies and candy. If parents would teach their children eating habits at a young age it will lead them in the right direction on having a healthy diet. Although eating healthy is important that's not all you can do to reduce your child's risk of obesity.
Parents need to show their children to exercise regularly. Exercising regularly should go along with everything in your day. Exercising and eating healthy goes along with each other. Exercising shouldn't just be done to maintain healthy but to also stay fit. Exercising can even help lower your risk of heart conditions along with obesity. Instead of letting your child sit around and watch television or play video games you should be encouraging them to go outside and play. Encouraging your child to play a sport they actually like playing keeps them active and moving which is just like exercise. Even though parents are being blamed for making a habit of their children eating fast food which makes them over weight, the industry takes a huge part in child’s obesity in today's society.
Many people argue that fast food industry is to blame for the sudden increase in child obesity. School
