On March15 2002 the former WorldCom chief “Bernie Ebbers” was sentenced to 25 years in prison for orchestrating an $11 billion fraud at the high-flying telecoms company which resulted in 17 thousand employees losing their jobs and witnessed the vaporization of there pension money so the company could write off 50.6 billion dollars. Employees put their lives into the companies they work for with overtime, under pay, stressful working environments, ect... and the CEO is overall responsible for the outcome of the business which trickles down to each and every employee; not living up to your own expectations of morals, dignity and honesty should be punishable mostly when it financially impacts millions of people. This is an extreme case to analyze but Bernie Ebbers hands down deserves to be incarcerated he lied, made false accusations of WorldCom stock prices for personal gain which destroyed people’s financial lives and he should be held accountable and God bless the legal system he
