Singletary’s thesis in the article “Not All College Majors Are Created Equal” is that “Not enough students----and their families who are also taking on student loans---are asking what their college major is worth in the workforce.” She successfully uses data to support her point of view. For example, towards the end of the article, she specifically states data from Hard Times which represent the unemployment rate for recent graduates of specific careers.
