Was the development of gender inequality natural or was it created by early humans? That is a question that scholars studying global history are still asking today. Although gender in global history has been explored recently, it is clear that woman’s political and social status was usually inferior in most literate civilization of the classical period as we know from Hughes essay. But the question is, was gender inequality a natural occurrence or was it developed in early literate civilizations? That is a question that even prominent scholars cannot answer.…

The words of Ibsen said, “There are two kinds of moral laws, two kinds of conscience, one for men and one, quite different, for women. They don’t understand each other; but in practical life, woman is judged by masculine law, as though she weren’t a woman but a man…. A woman cannot be herself in modern society.” Throughout the plot there were numerous themes that Ibsen created from those ideas such as deception, blackmail, inequality, marriage, freedom, honesty, and much more. The themes that will be discussed are the sacrificial role of woman, gender, and freedom.…

Person Centered Therapy; Carl Ransom Rogers, Born January 8, 1902 – Died February 4, 1987. Rogers was an American Psychologist who developed Person Centered Therapy (originally referred to as Client Centered Therapy in 1951) based on premise that clients are responsible for taking control of the changes they believe are needed in their lives. This would be a clear departure from Freud’s lengthy approach where the counselor would interpret the client’s story or life experience. Rogers believed, using empathetic understanding and unconditional positive regard people would have the potential given the proper tools to resolve their own problems. Rogers identified accurate empathetic understanding as another critical task of therapists.…

The concept of Ethics has been a very important and controversial topic throughout the health care profession. Ethics is a way of practice that involves decision making and many healthcare professions and various administrators work together to achieve excellent patient care. According to the article "Fundamental ethical principles in health care" the ethical code has evolved during many years but it gets its origin from the Hippocratic tradition. Similar codes are evolved recently by nurses, paramedical professionals and it emphasizes and underpins the identity and defends the interest of the profession relative to patient/client rights (Thompson, 1987, p. 1461). Although the ethic’s rules may limit and constrict the extent of performance in each profession, the codes are invented to…

One of Ibsen・s most shocking strategy in the text is his apparent indifference to the use of the widely accepted .well made play・, though in fact the first and third orders of the WMP can not be ignored (unless the audience stay uninformed and ignorant though out the first and seconded act) and are utilized by Ibsen in a way any other play write of the day might. The second is used for massive effect to the plot for example it is a great coincidence that Krogstad is a long lost love of Christine and has committed a crime not dissimilar to the one we are condemning her for heightening…

Henrik Ibsen's works Dollhouse and An Enemy of the People can be shown to have both been written by Ibsen not only through characteristic technique such as blocking and character exposition, but also the similarity in the decay of the social persona of characters from the norm and the main character's heightening stalwart. The later of that statement proves the works to be Ibsen's writing more effectively because such a commonality is a more direct link between works than such subtlies as character exposition.…
