amount of 4,225. 17*4225 < 703w < 22*4225 I will take 4,225 and set it up to multiply times 17 and 22.
71,825 < 703w < 92,950 Multiplied. 71,825/703 < 703w/703 < 92,950/703 Now, I will take all three components and divide by 703. 703w/703 will cancel out 703 and leave the (w). Answer: 102.03 < w < 132.22 People that weigh between 102.03 and 132.22 with the height of five foot even might have a longer life span than …show more content…

#2.
23 < 703w/4,225 < 25 My height to the second power will be plugged in to (H) as the amount of 4,225. 23*4,225 < 703w < 25*4,225 Set up 4,225 to be multiplied by 23 and 25. 97,175 < 703w < 105,625 Multiplied. 97,175/703 < 703w/703 < 105,625/703 Now set up to divide all three components by
703. 703w/703 will cancel out 703 and leave the (w). Answer: 138.23 < 150.25 People that weigh between 138.23 and 150.25 with the height of five foot even will probably not be overweight.

#3. 25 < 703w/4,225 < 29.9 25*4,225 < 703w < 29.9*4,225 105,625 < 703w < 126,327.5 105,625/703 < 703w/703 < 126,327.5/703 Answer: 150.25 < w < 179.70 People that weight between 150.25 and 179.70 with the height of five foot even will probably be overweight.
Graph: <---------(-----------------------------)------> 150.25 179.70
#4. 703w/4,225 > 30 703w > 30*4,225 703w > 126,750 703w/703 > 126,750/703 Answer: w > 180.30 People with the weight of 180.30 and above with the height of five foot even will be obese.

CONCLUSION All of these expressions qualify under the category of inequalities. Formula number one is a compound inequality, in which intervals are being plugged into the appropriate places to evaluate the expression properly. Number two is also a compound inequality in which intervals are being plugged into the appropriate places just the same. Number three is a compound inequality as well in which intervals are being plugged correctly too. Number four is not considered a compound inequality but it has an infinity possibility. Formulas are definitely something that I have had to re-teach myself. They are not super complicated; but, at first glance, it is definitely confusing. Formulas are definitely not as complicated once they are broke down into a better understanding.
