If you are looking for an superior processor for your personal computer build, you would have to look no further than the great processors of our day. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Intel are two of the major manufacturers of these processors. Many people ask the question, “Which processor should I buy for the best price?” This is a hard question to answer, but we will attempt to answer that question by looking at two processors that are of great value for the budget price. Also, someone may ask, “Which processor will I go with? The Intel Core i3-4170 is a good choice processor that has some awesome perks, however the AMD FX- 4350 beats it in almost every aspect as a good quality processor for the price. …show more content…
The AMD FX-4350 has a price of $89.99 at newegg.com, while the Intel Core i3- 4170 runs at $118.00. Secondly, the AMD FX-4350 has overclocking capabilities, which far surpasses the Intel Core i3-4170, which has no overclocking ability. Next, the AMD FX-4350 has four cores to perform multitasking, while the Intel Core i3-4170 has only two cores for multitasking. Lastly, the AMD FX-4350 has the best benchmark ratings. Even though the the AMD FX-4350 has the best value for the money, the Intel Core i3-4170 does have some value. It has integrated graphics in the processor and runs at a similar speed as the AMD FX-4350. As Dave James said in his review of these processors, “… It [AMD FX-4350] happily outstrips the Ivy Bridge i3 in terms of multi-threaded goodness and it can be pushed up to speeds that beat gaming terms.
