2. Type a three paragraph (minimum) paper detailing what technology you use on a regular basis from the list above. Don’t forget to list all sources used.
I use a Cell Phone, Landline, and text messaging on a daily basis. My cell phone is used to speak with friends, family, and schoolmates on a daily basis. It’s really important for use for my family since the majority of them live out of town. My landline is used basically for business calls. That line used basically for jobs, housing and medical appoints. It’s a stationary line with a voicemail connected. The possibility of dropped calls is less then my cell phone.
I use text messaging more than I do making calls on my cell or landline. It’s quicker to me and there wouldn’t be any dropped calls at all. You can also text without interrupting individuals around.

In order for you and I to have teleconferences, talk with family and friends, or hold any type of conversation while on the go without being tied down by wires cellular service providers offer transmission services to us through radio frequency signals rather than through end-to-end wire communication like land lines. These services can sometimes be complemented with data, messaging, and GPS packages and even more. Voice over Internet Protocol (Voice over IP, VoIP) is one of a family of internet technologies, communication protocols, and transmission technologies for delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as the Internet. With the advent of broadband internet, increased speed of data transfer and superior quality of service, VOIP has become a cost-effective and reliable source of communication. The technology is of particular use for the corporates since they can unify all communications channels –email, phone, fax etc. into one. As it aims to provide a delivery mechanism of all these different forms of data – audio, video, text into one medium –the cellphone, it can pose a challenge to the incumbent telecom companies such as AT&T and Verizon. VoIP devices have simple, intuitive user interfaces, so users can often make simple system configuration changes. Dual-mode cell phones enable users to continue their conversations as they move between an outside cellular service and an internal Wi-Fi network, so that it is no longer necessary to carry both a desktop phone and a cellphone. However with the technology coming of age, it could be possible that the cellphone mode is concentrated only with the internet provider and do…
