Yes you can determine the gender with the help of nub theory. It is more accurate, approximately 80-90% post 12 weeks of scan. Before 12 weeks it is difficult to determine. You can find out gender by looking at the nub angel between spine and nub. If it is more than 30, then it likely as baby boy and if it is less than 30 then it more likely baby girl. Sometime you can get vice-versa but in very rare cases such as 1 in 50. After 12-14 weeks scan, it may be possible for the sonographer to determine gender, however most ultrasound technicians wait until your anatomy scan at around week 20.
