This claim alone makes the essay important and relevant to the writer’s target audience (millennials). The future of the country lies in their hands and as much as we may want this to be an issue of the past it still pokes its evil face in the present. Williams also explains how movies play a huge role in today’s culture and how newer movies can have better details and give millennials an enhanced picture of the devastation, confusion, loss, and havoc a nuclear war would wreak upon this country. Williams also briefly states how dystopian movies may be able to persuade millennials showing a realistic but fictional society in ruins and the probability of our society ending in dystopia if this problem is ignored. Might I add? All valid points. These claims all support her initial statement of needing up-to-date movies that will peak millennials interest and ultimately start a dialogue amongst them. Millennials should have a PEP (prevention, expectation, and preparation) talk that includes these three key components. The most important aspect would be to discuss how to prevent nuclear war from happening. After watching ‘The Day After’, Reagan took into account the destruction and ruins left behind in the aftermath of nuclear war. Also the author gives evidence of the importance and relevance today by stating: “World relationships are still tense. President Donald Trump tends to make some questionable and reactionary decisions based on emotion, as does North Korean leader Kim Jong-un”(par 11). This eye-opening because North Korea recently conducted testing with a sizable missile launch and claims it can reach the entire US
