One of the reasons for the number of admission of the elderly into old folks homes increased could be due to financial problems; there are a lot of expenses needed to be spent on elderly such as daily needs, diapers, medicine or supplements and more. Poor conditioned family could not afford to purchase all expensive necessity, therefore, the elderly will be send to old folks homes which providing all these.
Next, it could be due to relationships problem between the elderly and their children or relatives. Argument in family relationship happens sometime. It might cause by misunderstanding, hatred, vengeance or such. That is why maybe the elderly wanted to isolate themselves by moving into old folks homes.
Besides that, it could be because of the poor health condition of the elderly. It is either they might not want to trouble their children taking care of them or their children have no time to take care of the elderly. It is good thing, in the case if the elderly were placed in old folks homes especially if there is no guidance at home, it will be much more safer environment.
Last but not least, it could be due to overcrowded living conditions and lack of privacy. Family members does grow from time to time, or sometimes there are couple of children who needed some space of their own. That causes them to place the elderly in old folks homes as well.
In my conclusion, there are many reasons to the admission of old folk’s homes. Either from the elderly or the children party, both having their own reasons to the admission of old folk’s homes.

The long-term care argument is relevant when discussing the plight of the aging in the population. As noted in the text, the aging population comprises an important part of the current population, which are the baby boomers. The present reality that these individuals could be above the age of 65 years means that they will have recurrent concerns related to their health status. The number of this aging population is even more in the rural setting where there is often minimal focus on health care insurance (Kirn, 2005). For this reason, long-term care policies for the elderly in the society present an important platform to develop a health care system that can adequately deal with the challenges of dealing with the health needs of an aging population.…

The elderly are our foundation and our youth are the building blocks to our nation. Some elderly have no medical problems, some are autistic, and many are handicapped. Nursing homes are a place where the elderly can live when their families do not have the resources or the extra time to care for them appropriately. My research is about deficiencies showing abuse and neglect in nursing homes and how facilities can improve the quality of the care they provide to the resident. I will show evidence of abuse and neglect through other studies and what I can do to help prevent it so they will be a place where the elderly wouldn’t mind moving into because of diminutive resources.…

Older adults often work with their spouses who need to be cared for due to long term illnesses up until their death, as well as grandchildren and foster children. Many older people take care of their grandchildren because their own children have to go to work or because they have been granted custody due to abuse or incarceration of their children. Many older people who have been given the responsibility of raising another child so late in their life are faced with additional health issues, psychological stress, and social isolation. It is often very stressful for someone who is older to have to be a caregiver because they are already dealing with other stresses of old age such as losing their spouses, not having a lot of energy, and worrying about their own health.…
