Ethics is the study of the moral law (Snell, G. D) and the cornerstone of the nurse profession. The Code of Ethics for Nurses developed a guide for carrying out nursing responsibilities, in a manner consistent with quality in nursing care and the ethical obligations of the profession (ANA). The code of ethic embraced two important terminologies. Patients who are those seeking for care and practice which is a term used to identify the role of nurses fulfilling patient needs. Furthermore, the code of ethic invites nurses to practice with compassion and respect, so nursing education focused on cultivating ethical values (According to the Nursing American Association)

Provision 3 delivers six interpretative statement focusing on patient rights and confidentiality, patients’ protection when are participating in research, nurse’s responsibility maintaining confidentiality, nurse’s responsibilities maintaining patient safety and nurse’s impairment due to physical or mental illness or substance abuse.
Provision 4 incorporated four interpretative statement that highlight nurse’s accountability, authority, and responsibility when patient care is provided, the role of technology as aid but not as a tool to rely on judgment, Nurses’ responsibility for judgment and actions and nurse’s delegation of responsibilities.
Provision 5 embraced six interpretative statement the first and second are about nurse’s duties in providing an environment of respect for patient and maintaining their personal health. The third remarks nurse’s obligations keeping their personal and professional boundaries, fourth and five refer to nurse’s personal integrity and personal growth, and sixth is related to the interaction between personal and professional
