Nursing Mission Statement

1) The mission and vision statement of the organization where I’m presently working in is to provide patients with the finest rehabilitation and skilled nursing services anywhere. Excellence is our goal and good outcomes in recovery and rehabilitation are our daily measures of progress. We will maintain a comfortable, dignified environment where our residents can enjoy an engaged, healthy lifestyle that will be a constant steady source of peace of mind to their families. And we will maintain our residents' bonds to their community by extending ourselves to our neighbors and to the society we serve (Centers health care, 2017). For instance, to constantly set the standard of excellence, my organization ensures that the patient or relatives answer survey questionnaires about the care they received during the length of stay and send another one to their address once discharged. The organization provides telephone numbers, address information for complaints and there is a box for letter disposal for service improvement suggestions or to honor staff. What's more complaint about a staff member, he or she will be brought in to provide a statement of occurrence and depending on the nature of the complaint he/she might even receive a verbal /written warning.
3) Nursing is in the organizational table at the Director of Nursing (DON) position followed by the Assistant director of nursing (ADON), followed by the clinical unit managers, unit Supervisors, then the charge nurse, RNs, LPNs, CNAs. The nursing department is at the level that is equal to other departments such as rehab (physical, occupational and speech therapist/aide), dietary and environmental (housekeeping, maintenance, laundry).
