The first physiological disorder I am going to be talking about related to care strategies is dementia. As dementia is a progressive illness, the care strategies will have to make them feel as comfortable and safe as possible.

Someone with this condition might not understand what you are fully talking about but they will appreciate you making an effort to talk to them. By making eye contact, keeping good body language, using gestures and language they understand will all help them to feel included and empowered. Therefore, their self-esteem and self-worth will be better. As well as talking, listening to them will be a great help. With diabetes at such a young age especially, it can be embarrassing. They may just not want to tell anyone. This will cause more problems than its worth. For example, they will stop hanging around with their friends/going out places with because they are embarrassed that they can’t eat certain foods and so on. This will lead their friends to thinking they don’t want to hang around with them for no reason. They may have a fall out. This will make the person with diabetes to become down and lonely potentially leading to depression, disconnecting from everyone. His condition will become worse and his health will deteriorate leading to health complications. Day activities might also make them loose interest in school and their education. It could lead to them not doing well in school and not caring. They are just too interested in going away with these
