Obama Lied My Third Health Plan Just Died Analysis
When it comes to the government and health plans, columnist Michelle Malkin, political columnist, blogger, and commentator, her family very much knows how much the President’s choice of healthcare can affect an entire household’s life. Explained in this article, “Obama Lied. My Third Health Plan Just Died.”, Malkin states her strong, conservative belief in a specific purpose on the real life effects of healthcare, adds in the use of appeals, and strong language to make sure her readers are informed properly. When a writer is passionate about something, it is easy to tell. Word choice and the tone in which they form their sentences allows for speculation on what is really being said and why they are saying what they are saying. In this article, Malkin’s purpose is to explain the real life effects of Obama care that American families are dealing with- especially what she and her family are dealing with. This article was written before the election, so it is obviously trying to persuade one side of the election to vote for the other which in this case is Trump. Nothing shows that a writer knows what he or she is talking about more than an argumentative essay that consists of quotes, sources, facts, and a strong opinion. The use of …show more content…
Not only is it brave to have “Obama Lied” in the title of her post, she goes into further depth of just exactly how Obama did that and how. She says, “I recall Obama’s big lie. A nationwide implosion. To make such claims, one must be pretty confident and serious.” It is quite bold to call the President of the United States of America a liar, but Malkin does just that. Bold? Yes. Effective?

The Obama administration was acting in the best interests of the country. Provision of quality health care services is one of the most important responsibilities of the government. However, it remains one of the most expensive services to provide because every other day, people fall sick and must be treated for them to regain their health and continue working towards nation-building. An ailing workforce becomes an economic burden. Again, it is difficult to predict when someone will fall sick. Therefore, the health insurance law acts as a contingency plan when citizens fall ill unexpectedly. Even though they may be ill-positioned to cater for their medical expenses at the time when they fall ill, the insurance cover comes in handy at their hour of need. In this regard, in view the ‘Obamacare’ law as the best thing that happened in the country’s healthcare…

The topics of health care and health care reform are two of the most highly debated topics in society today. The Obama Care Plan is at the center of the health care crisis. Obama Care is aimed at reinforcing the American system of health care. The main focus of Obama Care is to regulate the industry of health insurance and also reduce spending. Obama Care was signed into law on March 23, 2010. The primary goal of this health care reform plan is to make it possible to be able to provide health care to all U.S. Citizens. There are currently about 44 million Americans that are unable to get health insurance. Obama Care’s major elements was to expand Medicaid and Medicare, where they are able to offer health insurance to a much larger group of citizens. Obama Care also provides assistance to Americans that are unable to afford health care. Another important element of this plan is to provide better wellness and preventative services. The reasoning behind this is that if individuals are able to have regular preventative services then not only is it quicker to diagnose illnesses but the rate of recovery is better and thus the expenses are much lower. (Obamacarefacts, 2014).…

Outrageous amounts of money are spent on healthcare reform. In the next ten years, Obamacare, a program that provides healthcare for all, is set to spend over $1.2 trillion (Federal Spending 1). This is more than double what is needed. Half of this should be cut and be used to start paying off the national debt. If this is done in one short term payment, the interest on the debt will shrink, saving a great deal of money every year. Similarly, Obamacare was a failure, less than half of expected users enrolled in the program. As a result, the program is ineffective and should lose funding. Political scientist George Will postulates that “...entitlements are the fastest growing personal income” (1). This proves that these programs should be cut. Many argue that this program is too beneficial to lose funding. This has been proven completely false as Obamacare initially had too few people sign up for the program to be effective (Will 1). In conclusion, healthcare programs should drastically lose funding. They are a major factor that leads to the growth of the national debt. If this program is cut, it will begin a period of economic success in the United…

Many concerns continue to raise questions as: Will Obama care work? Would it affect citizens instead of helping them? Is it affordable? All these questions are now requiring prompt answers. The two opposing articles discussed here a much too common reflection of the uncertainty in American…

(p 71) Both speeches began by discussing the devastation, sadness, and outrage caused by the event. Both speakers also shared common opinions of what ‘we’ as a nation needed to do as well. However, this is where the two similarities begin to differ and again show dialectic style opposing views of solution. Obama uses the techne of rhetoric again to evoke feelings of unity and remind the audience of how human the victims of the shooting were. This is done by talking about their lives, and the joy they brought to those who knew them. He then calls for the citizens of our nation to love one another, come together in solidarity and not give in to fear or turn against each other. Alternatively, Trump uses rhetoric as a means of instilling fear and anger by stating that “radical Islam is coming to our shores”(##). His solution to this is that “we need to respond to this attack on America as one united people – with force, purpose and determination.…

The Affordable Care Act is an effective policy that has insured a large portion of the United States’ population. In 2004, approximately thirty-two million people younger than sixty-five had insurance and in 2010, when Obamacare was passed, 44.8 million people of the same age group were insured with Medicaid (“Health Insurance Coverage” 1). The rising number of insured Americans shows the indubitable benefits Obamacare has brought upon the general public. In other words, had the government not passed Obamacare, millions of people would be uninsured. In agreement with this idea,…
