Objectives For A Health And Social Care Home Essay
A team needs to know what is expected of it. Objectives are statements that define the purpose of the team, often referred to as targets or goals. All health and social care services are now expected to be responsive to the individual and person-centred care. Team objectives need to be aligned with national and local service priorities. Once a team has developed a vision and purpose, it can be used as a basis for creating team objectives. Objectives are the specific goals that the team will accomplish in a fixed amount of time. These objectives flow from the team's purpose. Each one moves towards the vision. Team objectives support the vision and purpose of the Home.

-to establish and maintain an effective means of communication with our residents and their family, being courteous, discrete and respectful at all times.
-to monitor and maintain a safe and secure working environment for both ourselves and our residents, adhering to agreed standards of Health & Safety.
-to act in a responsible and professional manner at all times, being respectful of the property and possessions of the residents, their family and friends.
-to complete of necessary paperwork required, in line with Homes’ standards
- to liaise effectively with residents and other professionals as appropriate.
Due to the varying complex needs of each resident, each team member will then also have individual team objectives, such as encouraging the resident to get out of bed and then encourage participation in activities. Or ensure the resident goes out for a walk at least once a day. Encourage and assist the resident to complete their physio programme.
