Observation Mall
Teenagers in today’s society are growing up to fast; they are in a rush to get married and have babies. They want the happily ever after even before they fully live their observed about four 16 year old girls have lunch at a food court at Chandler, Arizona, mall one Saturday afternoon.
What I overheard would have anyone in disbelief, and made me think back to my early teenage years and how different life is for today’s society. For starters, these girls were dress way past their years. They were in short shorts and belly shirts with heels and too much makeup on. Each of them had their belly button pierced and their nose pierced and tattoos visible. I could not believe my eyes when I saw how they were dress and how they were carrying themselves. I sat at a table that was in ear shot to their table. The first girl; Amanda, was upset how her and her boyfriend of six months broke up. She kept saying how she loved him and how she was going to be lost without him and how she will be alone for the rest of her life. The other girls said how they are afraid of the same thing. They stated how they getting old and want to settle down.
I could not believe what I was hearing; when I was 16 my biggest concern was what I was going to wear to the foot ball game and whose mom out of my girls would allow a sleep over. By no way was I worrying about settling down and boyfriends. The next topic made me want to cry, the girl Amanda said that; “She wished she got pregnant with her boyfriend so at least she would always have her ex boyfriend in her life and most of all she will always have someone to love her. She obviously had self image issues. She was searching for love in unfortunately the wrong places.
I could not help but to say something to these girls. I believe that if someone did not talk to and knock some sense in to these troubled young ladies something horrible may happen. I turned to them and asked them how old they were, they replied back saying 16 and turning

In the essay, Myth of Adolescence, Alex and Brett Harris incorporate their thoughts on what they feel about what teenagers actually go through during their period of `adolescence.` They go on to compare this phase to an elephant. They say that an elephant is a powerful beast that can be restrained even by a piece of twine. According to Alex and Brett, young teens are the elephant and our twine is the concept of adolescence. Unfortunately, these low expectations end up limiting teens for no reason. Teenagers, between the ages of 13-18, are held back by society and aren't able to excel in life. The essay, Myth of Adolescence, states that the socials expectations are becoming obstacles for teens. We as teenagers, need to erase the invisible shackles…

One alarming point made by you is that girls are described as’ Walking talking dolls’ and one ‘panda eyed teenagers’. I feel that this article make young teenaged girls who wear a lot of makeup feel like zoo animals. This can also show that young teenagers don’t care about their education and they care more about their appearance. On the other hand the teenaged girls could be wearing a lot of makeup because they might have something to hide behind as they can be really insecure. Also you cannot talk about young teenagers wearing makeup as there is no one in the media that does not wear makeup and now days there is not one person that does not wear makeup everyone does. When saying walking talking Bratz dolls we know that Bratz dolls have large heads and have a lot of makeup so the writer is trying to say that the girls are dolls and they all ways want to look good but is there anything wrong with looking good?…

This video affects me more with emotional things than anything I think. As I started to watch the video I was trying to figure out what the parents were thinking by placing those children in those situations. This issue is a very important issue and I don’t think that it gets near the attention that it deserves. There is so much attention placed on so many things in this world but yet the situation of children and their parents who are living on the street get swept under the rug. The laws and legal systems don’t seem to do anything about but want to complain about the crimes and how wild these teenagers end up being. The legal systems don’t seem to realize how living homeless and moving place to place actually affects the parents and the children. It is a parents right to raise their children how they want but at the same time there should be limitations on these thing to ensure children basic needs are met to a certain extent. However the parents have a choice to live like that but the children they bring into this world don’t have a choice and they suffer the consequences of being homeless just because they were born and their parent made a choice to live like this because they don’t want to pay rent or taxes and this is totally unacceptable. In the minds of the parents of these children they are wanting to raise their children a certain way and that is understandable but at the same time the parents do not realize the psychological problems that it can have on the children. The parents of these children were being careless as early as when they got pregnant with the children. By living a life like this there is no prenatal care to make sure mom and baby are healthy. By living homeless the parents are exposing the unborn baby along with the children that have already been born to so many diseases among other things not to mention once a baby is born there are no doctor visits for vaccines or to check to see if the baby is on…

It all started on October 14th, 2016. It was a cool crisp day yet it was not too cold. Inez was awakened by a friend who was in the mood for venting. That was at about 7:15 am. A few minutes after her phone session with her friend ,Inez did the only that a girl her age would do at 7:15 in the morning. She picked up her phone and headed straight for social media. “ There’s nothing else to do this early in the morning”, she said. As she lays comfortably in her younger sister’s bed she raced down her facebook page for funny videos to start her day. This was one of her favorite pastimes. But what appalled me most was hearing their casual use of obscene and oppressive language. It was a verbal assault that would have literally had my Lola beating the living crap out of these little miscreants. Yet the braggarts dish out these foul verbiages with such mirth and candour as though it was stock and store, while I cringe at each filthy reference to their mates’ mothers’ promiscuity. Coming unabashed from the mouths of young individuals such as these, it made me question the values that should have been passed on to the next generation.…
